Has the load for the Angara-A5 already been chosen or will the mass-dimensional layout be launched?
- The decision on the payload for the launch of the Angara-A5 will be made in July-August. The right to choose it belongs to the military. But I can say for sure that there is no question of launching a mass-dimensional layout. Moreover, I’ll reveal a small secret: along with the main satellite, there can even be a small commercial spacecraft in the form of an associated load.

The second launch of #AngaraA5 will be without payload, said #Rogozin today. There will be the test of the launch vehicle with new upper stage 14S48 #Perseus (modification of DM family): https://ria.ru/20190607/1555362692.html

Anatoly Zak writes on his website, that the second Angara A5 starts again with Briz-M. (14S43,
cyr. 14C43)

http://www.russianspaceweb.com/angara5-flight2.html#2018_09

@anik writes on Novosti kosmonavtiki forum that Persey (14S48,cyr.14C48) will start later with A5 3L.

But why should an Angara A5 / Briz-M a second time shoot bricks in the orbit?  :(

Because it is the first URMs-1 which were made by PO Polyot and nobody wants to put the real satellite on it.

The 2nd launch of the Angara A5 was postponed to first half of 2020. reports ria-novosti

https://ria.ru/20191012/1559697209.html

The Angara starts so rarely that ria has no picture of her. And shows the Proton as substitute.

In 2019, 6 launches of the Proton-M launch vehicle are scheduled. Also Center them. Mv Khrunicheva will prepare for shipment to the Plesetsk cosmodrome a second heavy-class launch vehicle Angara-A5, which will be launched in December 2019.

Final component for the second Angara-5 rocket rolls out

On September 18, 2018, a train, carrying the final URM-1 booster for the second Angara-A5 rocket, departed its production plant in Omsk for Moscow, where the rocket will undergo final assembly and testing, Roskosmos State Corporation said. In the meantime, the vibration and strength tests of the URM-1 prototype at the TsNIIMash facility were successfully completed, according to Roskosmos. The State Corporation re-confirmed the scheduled launch of the second Angara-5 vehicle in 2019, but did not specify the exact date or the type of payload for the mission.

Known components of the Angara-5 rocket during its second launch:
Angara-A5 (a.k.a. Angara-A5.2L or 2LM) vehicle   14A127, Series No. 71752
Briz-M upper stage   14S43
Four strap-on boosters   BB1, BB2, BB3, BB4
***

The second launch of Angara-A5, now scheduled for the first half of 2020 from Plesetsk, will use the Briz-M upper stage?
And carry a dummy payload?
To GEO?

Yes.

The third launch of Angara-A5 will also be from Plesetsk and will use Persey, an upgrade of the DM-03 upper stage?
And, again, it will carry a dummy payload?  Or a real payload?
To GEO?

If the second Angara-A5 launch will be successful then one of Ekspress-AMU goes on the third Angara-A5 with DM-03.

- yes, it's a typo.
the article in RIA.ru says:
Quote
- so it's still year 2020.

(LV stages were delivered over 2 years? ago from Omsk to Moscow for quality assurance testing.)
As this is the first Angara flight article manufactured in the Omsk factory, will there be any send-off celebrations?
EDIT: I guess not.

What caused the 6 year delay between launches?

What caused the 6 year delay between launches?

Transferral of production from Moscow to Omsk among other fun drama.

Well, and the fact that it's the most complex, heavy-lift variant of the modular architecture supposed to retire most other vectors in the Russian fleet, but which are operating just fine meanwhile.

'Not to mention that it's promised price reduction was as good as Shuttle's.
