Paolo is the tallest person ever who has flown in a Soyuz, this could be a partial explanation. He could be more sensitive to orthostatic intolerance when going from a lying position to an upward position
[SNIP]
It's happened to him before and he was quite open about it then, so that seems logical.

Paolo Nespoli felt dizzy on his return from space but is fine now, the  Italian astronaut said Thursday in his first interview since completing  his mission.

"Apparently it's normal for people who are tall and thin like myself to  have problems getting their heart pumping when they return to gravity  after a long time in space," Nespoli explained by phone from the Kennedy  Space Center in  Florida.

99% of the time it is the qualified X-33....now 4 of the crew members are wearing something new that I can not identify?

CDR Kelly has his Breitling Emergency on as usual...but the White Dial watches? What are they?

Uhh, seriously? Is the rendering software a known port from Amiga days?

Thanks for that. Puts Ron's timelapse in context, and vice-versa.

Physical Sep! History made with the first Soyuz undocking with a Shuttle on Station, ever!
Well, first with *this* station, anyway... Soyuz undocked with a Shuttle on Mir, in 1995.
And I can say I was on console for both...
Cool. SO, which which did you find more memorable?
STS-71, without a doubt... you never forget the first. Plus the shuttle undocking/flyaround so you had the three-body problem. Plus the Mir attitude control failure that forced a Soyuz redock while the shuttle was still flying around.
Plus there's just something different about Mir, no? ...  ISS looks so purposeful, designed by international committee and agreements, a triumph of multilateral planning and enforced symmetry. The USOS, naturally, has echos of Shuttle's design aesthetic.

Dragonfly was just ... crazy. Weird, and beautiful, and human, and alien, all at the same time. Next to her (him?), Atlantis was a white swan,  a swan familiar to American eyes. The contrast, and the daring, of these old [cold] warriors together was just breathtaking.

But that was in our joint infancy. ISS is all so growed-up now...

well said.  A little juxtaposition. Asymmetric. interesting points, thanks.
...water is life and it is out there, where we intend to go. I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man or machine on a body such as the Moon and harvest a cup of water for a human to drink or process into fuel for their craft.

Should anybody come here looking for updates about the flyabout pics&footage, I took the liberty of snipping the URL to Mr. Bergin's recap message about it on "LIVE: STS-134 Flight Day 10 - EVA-3": http://bit.ly/kLXqfW .
(I'll eventually learn how to use this board.)

Thanks Elitre82  :)

Wasn't sure where to post that, thought we'd revert to that thread after the landing. Feel free to move!

Edit: (Strange, link points to the wrong place... see Expedition 27 thread)
