Fix for the increasingly smaller quotes is being pushed as we speak

Thank you :)

Oxygen's regular typeface has solid kerning, but the light version's is rather bad. I think it'd be a good switch to go from light to regular.

Keep it coming guys. Remember we can fine tune as we go. :)

And remember to read the opening post. Future dev is things like dark mode, which seems to be all the rage these days.

(Honestly one of my main 'issues' with the site, so thank you)

Will make midnight updates much easier on the eyes.

Too much whitespace everywhere

Screenshot? (adblocker on?) Right hand side will fill out as we go too and that'll really balance it. Your browser can also help with the reducing (or increasing as some may want) window size.

Before and after of a specific post.   Chrome, nearly full screen window on 1920x1200 monitor.

When I make a window bigger it's because I want to see more lines, not because I want more space between the lines of text.

The "new" image/link's top-side justification looks a little funny, if we want to nitpick.  ;D

I don't like the mobile theme and browse in the normal theme.  It's squished and broken on a mobile device now.  It used to force a pleasant page width.

And that 30 seconds of nonsense in appearance was us pushing one of the suggestions live.

Hang in there, that's totally being worked on. The goal is to phase out the old mobile theme in favour of a responsive theme on mobile devices.

Kerning is markedly improved from earlier, much easier to read. I'm getting used to the color change.

Is the "Active Discussions" main page sidebar also meant to be on the sidebar in a thread? If it's supposed to be, it's not there. Ads and Tweets are there, but not Active Discussions.

I also use desktop mode on my phone (boo tapatalk). Rotate the screen horizontal! Fixes everything, for me anyway! :)

iPhone - horizontally held.

I'm tempted to agree... the right side as you scroll down is all white. Fill it out after ads/tweets, etc.

This is on a 30" monitor but showing only a half width page.

And don't worry about me, 16+ years running dynamic websites... but I'm done with that.

Still I can get used to this.

I'm not seeing any issues.
the font is eye-strain inducing  :o

The ever shrinking fonts for embedded quote trees are no good, either.

I've never been a fan of reading "light" fonts.

But really, I'm getting used to font as I'm typing this out...

I had a freak out when the page loaded. I like the top bar though...

HA! Yeah, tried to warn people. I (and the team) got used to it very quickly as we've had this theme running for days to test it.

Roto with a good point on the quotes.

One thing I noticed is that one line return is similar to just another line within the paragraph.
I could hardly tell the difference. (New line)

Then, two returns seems to expand the space between the lines something like 1.75 the line width. I think something like 1.25 would work much better.  And expand the new line to a little more than the typical line width... Sorry, my typesetting knowledge is like Zero.

Agreed, after scrolling past the existing ads/tweets, there is a bunch of white space that is fooling with my brain lol

Don't worry about the white space on the border below the last ad. More of that space will be filled (for our team etc.) as we go.
