October 30, 2008 marked the 70th anniversary of Orson Welles "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast in 1938.

An MP3 of the original 1938 CBS radio broadcast can be downloaded at Internet Archive.Org.

Here's the URL linking to the MP3 file:

The MP3 file is 6.2-mb in size. The recording is 53-min 21-sec in length.  The quality is a little rough, but remember it probably came from a 78-rpm vinyl phonograph record.

The Internet Archive.Org website also has MP3 copies available for free download, of the 1950's science fiction radio drama series, "X Minus 1" and "Dimension X". There are about 175 episodes available.

Many of these sci-fi radio dramas are adaptations of science fiction stories by  Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Frederik Pohl, Theodore Sturgeon, Robert Silverberg, etc..
