Purdue University will announce today that Neil Armstrong will donate his personal papers to the university, helping create a comprehensive collection of flight papers in University Libraries.
"This is going to be one of the jewels of that collection," said James Mullins, dean of libraries at Purdue.
Armstrong, the first man to step on the moon, is a 1955 graduate of Purdue. The Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering at Purdue was dedicated in his honor last year.
