Official trying to focus the press-conference on the docking...

Offline Chris Bergin

Very stern warning to only ask about the launch and docking. Even outted a journalist who put his hand down after the warning!! ;D

Just found this hilarious comic - in dutch. Some background might be needed. ( ie the fact that there is a stereotype of dutch people going on vacation, taking with them sacs of boring dutch food, particulary sacs of potatoes - since foreign food is scary! )

http://foksuk.nl/nl?cm=79&ctime=1324422000

translated:
"..Had to keep the rocket grounded a bit longer.

Turns out one of the cosmonauts had 8 cans of peanut butter and 20 kilos of potatoes in his luggage"

onto the docking conference!

Journalist ignoring! Asking about the Soyuz problems!

"Engine created in 2009. They check the engines, but they can't check everything. Looking for items that crashed on to the ground."

Problem within the space industry?

"Yes there are problems. We need to modernize and optimize. Only at 33 percent of this process, we can't keep an eye on everything. Need to modernize the tracking system. Aging human resources from the 90s, a lot of people have left. They should have come in the 90s. Average age is 30-40 years old for workers, but bulk of people under 30. We have to trust our young people more. We probably need to replace lots of leaders and heads."

Did they just ignored that last question?

Offline Chris Bergin

Hmmm, they seemed to cut off the presser and went back to MCC-H. Actually, it did end, with Popovkhin walking out without answering the final question! :o

Sure looked like they got up and walked out when the question returned to the failed launch.

Has anyone video of that presser?
In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is !

I was just wondering about that. John44 usually records everything, so hopefully he'll post it.
