Our Integration and Control Facility in Wallops is getting busy as we prepare for our first launch from LC-2!

In the coming days, Electron will roll out to the pad for a final launch rehearsal, then it's on to payload integration and launch.

What a view! Did you spy the iconic @NASA_Wallops water tower on the 'Virginia is for Launch Lovers' mission patch?

This fairing will protect the spacecraft for radio frequency geospatial analytics provider @hawkeye360 during ascent to orbit🚀

Water Tower would make a great camera location looking down at the launch pad as the LV sails upward.

Rocket Lab's Next Mission webpage still says December 7, as does the Press Kit, which has been updated but still has the same name. (They usually give it a new name when they update it.) Attached and at https://www.rocketlabusa.com/assets/Uploads/Virginia-is-for-Launch-Lovers-Press-Kit.pdf.

The Wallops information: https://www.nasa.gov/wallops-launch-schedule and https://www.nasa.gov/centers/wallops/home also still says December 7.

But in this week's USCG District 5 weekly Local Notice to Mariners, the text in the body of the report now says December 9.  Enclosure 9 (attached) still says December 7.

Since the company that actually built it calls it LC 2, the fact that the company which leased them the land calls it LP-0C seems less important to me. Maybe if you want to be extremely pedantic, LC 2 is located on LP-0C, since the latter is literally just the land itself, not any of the facilities.

The NASA WFF designation is Launch Area 0 (LA-0)
and encompasses all of Virginia Space's Middle Atlantic Regional Spaceport. The legacy designation system predates NASA and was used for rail and TEL research rocket launch bases and select missile testing bases.

So three layers of identification.  One NASA.  One MARS.  One Rocket Lab.  All different.  Yeesh.

In fairness, it sounds like Launch Area 0 (LA-0) encompasses LP-0A, LP-0B, and LP-0C/LC-2. So it's on a different level: LA-0 is equivalent to Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), not any of the actual pads therein.

In other words, the whole area has two names, and the Electron pad has two names, but nothing has three names.
