Apart any other consideration stressed in the thread, I would really like to know how the crew feels about this. On one side you survived to a major accident that may cost your life. On the other you lost an opportunity you prepared for years and your whole life may take a completely different direction, as re-establishing human flight may take months (hope not years...) and you may end at the bottom of the cosmo/astronaut queue.Today may represent a turning point in human space flight.
They are probably just happy they didn't blow up and die. If this were any other vehicle in that failure mode they probably would have.
