http://seekingalpha.com/article/202759-sirius-xm-radio-q1-2010-earnings-call-transcript?page=5

As a reminder we expect to spend approximately $212 million on satellite capital expenditures this year as we launch the already completed XM 5 satellite in the fourth quarter and continue building the SIRIUS 6 program. Next year we anticipate we will spend approximately $111 million on satellite CapEx as we launch SIRIUS 6 later in the year. These amounts are in addition to the $50-60 million of annual ground based maintenance CapEx that would be typical.

An ILS Proton will launch the Intelsat 22 satellite for Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services. The Intelsat 22 satellite is under construction by Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems is scheduled for launch in the first half of 2012. The Intelsat 22 mission is part of the Intelsat Multi-Launch Agreement which allowed Intelsat the flexibility to substitute the Intelsat 22 satellite for the previously-announced Intelsat 21 satellite.

The Intelsat 22 satellite, weighing 6400 kg, will be built on the Boeing 702MP platform and will be launched aboard an ILS Proton utilizing a 65,000 km super-synchronous transfer orbit.

Frank McKenna, President of ILS said, “ILS is able to offer Intelsat unique flexibility and schedule reliability for this critical hosted payload mission. ILS and Khrunichev look forward to supporting Intelsat’s continued growth and expansion of its fleet through the launch of Intelsat 22 and Intelsat 23 satellites.”

Proton to launch INTELSAT-22, first half of 2012.

Looks like Anik already had it, but I missed it on my first glance.

Here is the ILS announcement:

Will use 65,000 km SSO transfer.

From Dish FCC filing concerning Quetzsat 1 (ILS contracted)

"The Bureau asks for the current state of construction progress and the anticipated launch
date for the QuetzSat-1 satellite. DISH understands, based on conversations with QuetzSat, that
the current contract delivery for QuetzSat-1 from the manufacturer is July 2011. Quetzsat-1 is
currently in its payload panel integration phase and is on schedule to meet the July 2011 factory
completion date. The current launch window is November 2011."

According to http://www.npopm.ru/images/File/newspaper/2010/211-screen.pdf, the first Glonass-K will be launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome.

December (TBD) – Kosmos (Glonass-K) – Soyuz-2-1A/Fregat – Plesetsk 43/4 (or 2011)

This does not come as a surprise as it was always stated Soyuz launches would be from Plesetsk, but I wonder about the spare capacity. Will there be a GVM or ballast?

It was always stated that Soyuz-2 rocket's launches with two Glonass-K satellites will be from Plesetsk cosmodrome. You have missed that it was planned for some time that the first Glonass-K satellite will be launched with two Glonass-M satellites by Proton-M rocket. Then you have missed that it was planned for some time that the first Glonass-K satellite will be launched by Soyuz-2 rocket from Baikonur cosmodrome. Now this launch is planned from Plesetsk cosmodrome. So for me such information is surprise.

A bit harsh from you...

What I was trying to say... that the switch from Proton to Soyuz gets closer to the 'usual' launch configuration. Flying on Proton would need some ballast and what about launch adapter? That's why I find the switch not surprising. Now that the GLONASS-K is to fly on Soyuz will they demonstrate the launch of two satellites or have some unique mission specific configuration?

Could these go up from Plesetsk? Similiar to Meridian configuration. There are a few references to this...
