Looks like the MLP will be moving from the VAB to Pad LC-39A. This is so they can do modifications to the high bay which it is currently in. No word yet on time nut should be today.
-
Hmm thats not the SLS MLP, its the shuttle MLP
I guess i request a move to the right place i.e. shuttle or history i guess and a name change.

Changed thread name for you. :)

Thanks, she's still motoring along.

It seems the crawler has stopped.
-
I think to save gas and money, just leave it there right where they just stopped, Not like anything else will be using the crawlerway anytime soon LOL

I bet the crawler would complain with been stuck out in the rain for a few months.
The crawler still hasn't moved. Any one heard of any problems?

Yes, but exactly what modifications to the high bay ? Surely it's too early to start modifying for SLS, is it ? Maybe it has to do with the 21st century ground systems program?
Just curious...

Current view - you get your wish.. :)

Damn they started this trip yesterday, I guess by afternoon they just parked it outside the gate at the pad and decided to finish up today?
-
and since is the only action on any of the camera's in town... seems like it is moving again slowly..
-
Wish there was a shuttle stack on that MLP
-
well... if you squint your eyes reeeeeaaaalllly hard..... ;)

looks like the crawler moving away now

Does anyone know what work is taking place in the High bay that made this move needed? Why couldn't they store this by the VAB like the other MLP's are kept at?

Not too sure on whats happening with in the VAB. The reason they moved it to the pad is proberly is that they only have 2 stands for MLP (i think) outside and they are taken up.
-
So why do they keep this pad?
Do they need it?
-
and just to complete this epic journey,,, the crawler is moving down the road again...

From what I've read right now NASA has Moth Balled the pad, but any future company who chooses to use it can use as is or tear down at their expense... at least that's how I took what I read on here earlier a few weeks back, I may be totally wrong though.

Looks like equipment is being removed, can see it in this shot from the VAB transfer aisle:
