HTV4 EP lunch configuration image.

HTV4 cargo are including FROST, ICE Box, i-Ball, CubeSats, potable water (480kg), and food.
FROST is small refrigerator for JEM.
ICE Box is same roll as Double cold Bag (DCB).

I thought the Japanese Electrostatic Levitation Furnace (ELF) rack was going to launch on HTV-4 - Fuji, do you know if this is true?

I think ELF will be next year.
ELF design was changed to small size, not ISPR size.
MSPR is utilized for this small experiments such as AQH, CCE (Chamber for Combustion Experiment) and ELF.

Preparation for the launch of HTV4 continues

Last Updated: July 12, 2013

Preparation for the launch of the H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) KOUNOTORI4 (HTV4) is under way in the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC).

From June 24 to July 7, propellant (oxidizing agent and fuel) was filled in the HTV4's tank in the Second Spacecraft and Fairing Assembly Building (SFA2). Then, the tank pressure was confirmed that it was adjusted properly.

From July 13-18, the HTV4 will be encapsulated in the payload fairing (a cover to protect the HTV) before mating with the H-IIB rocket #4.

KOUNOTORI4 was moved to the VAB

On July 20, the encapsulated KOUNOTORI4 was transported from the Second Spacecraft and Fairing Assembly Building (SFA2) to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). KOUNOTORI4 was installed onto the H-IIB launch vehicle.

In the VAB, KOUNOTORI4 was mated with the H-IIB rocket #4. Afterwards, late access cargo loading into the Pressurized Logistics Carrier (PLC) was started.

KOUNOTORI4 is scheduled to launch on August 4.
