I wish we could watch this on NASA TV, rather than the tourism board advert for Turkey.

Try watching the Media channel of NASA TV. It's the one I use.

Edit:
They expect total darkness, so planets and stars will become visible during totallity. The corana of the sun will be as bright as the full moon.

Comparing the Media channel and Public channel, it seems like Media channel originates from a different place, where the eclipse is much farther into the progress.
