Flyover is done; Progress is rotating for proper solar array attitude.  Now, station-keeping has begun.

Final approach has begun.
Brief thruster firings visible.
Approach continues into orbital sunset.
Russian controller noting offset of Progress from proper alignment--visible in the Progress docking camera.
100 m, closing 0.1 m/s.
Now within 50 m.
Target cross offset from docking port "about 2 squares" above and to the right in docking camera view.  Now slow drift towards "vertical" alignment.  Port is eclipsed by station structure.

Cosmonauts asking to switch to manual control (TORU). Range 5 m. Standing by for permission from Moscow control.
Cosmonauts urged not to take manual control.  "OK, we are standing by."
Contact and capture!  45 minutes after the hour.
Controllers were satisfied with Kurs performance. This was an automatic docking.
Docking mechanism driving.

I'd like to know: cosmonauts and controllers seeing same data?
If so, why the apparent divergence in whether to switch to TORU?
***

Docking hooks are engaged--hard dock.
Hatch opening later today.
NASA coverage concludes.

I'm glad everything worked out in the end.

Docked! After a 3-hour flight we are welcoming the #ProgressMS15 cargo spacecraft.

It delivered 2.5 tons of cargo: water, oxygen, fuel, equipment for experiments, food and maybe something unexpected and tasty :)

Does anyone know where to find (more) high-quality photographs of Progress MS-15 during its final approach for docking? The question arises in relation to the damage to antenna screens, presumably impacted by the payload fairing. The forum has a good picture of Progress MS-13 in its thread, which appears to show a similar feature on the screen, e,g. the alleged impact damage, although the dent is a little smaller than on MS-15. The photos circulated today are not easy to read. I suspect that the screens are doing their job and deflect the fairling, so there's nothing particularly noteworthy about MS-15. Docking antennas unfolded and worked fine, putting aside the coincidental software glitch.

I hope it helps a little.
Thanks a lot, it does! They clearly are the original photographs that are being post-processed by bloggers.

Is Progress MS-15 still scheduled to dock with Pirs and then remove it from the ISS at the end of its mission?

Apparently, yes.  Not un-docking for destructive re-entry on December 4.

If Nauka launches successfully on April 20, Progress MS-15 will un-dock, with Pirs, on April 23.
