The transition to fast fill of the core stage is about 10 minutes away.

SLS/Artemis 1 (T-5h06m; 11:01am EDT): Hydrogen loading has NOT yet started; NASA says the team is chilling down an LH2 line leading to the SLS upper stage to minimize pressure spikes seen during earlier fueling attempts; not clear from NASA commentary when LH2 loading will begin

NASA confirms the liquid hydrogen load has transitioned to “fast fill” on the core stage of the SLS moon rocket.
This moves the countdown rehearsal past the point where the launch team detected a hydrogen leak in April.

SLS/Artemis 1 (T-4h37m; 11:31am EDT): NASA reports liquid hydrogen is now in fast fill; no leaks reported, indicating work to fix a fuel-line attachment fitting at the base of the rocket was successful

SLS/Artemis 1 (T-4h33m; 11:34am EDT): NASA commentator Derrol Nail reports the core stage liquid oxygen tank is now 38% loaded while liquid hydrogen is at <5%, but now in fast-fill mode; fingers crossed!

More progress made in filling one of the core stages with LH
2
than the April 14 WDR test! Fourth
Third
WDR test looking more and more probably the charm this time.

It's interesting how the hydrogen fill started much later behind oxygen yet it has now surpassed it in fill volume. Is there a reason for that?

UPDATE: Cryogenic propellant loading continues into the core stage of
@NASA_SLS
. We are currently at 76% full with LOX and 98% full with LH2. LH2 fast fill has stopped, and we have transitioned to liquid hydrogen topping.

Hydrogen is lighter and less denser than oxygen thus it fills at a faster rate.

Quick little gif I threw together to show how much the core stage shrinks due to the thermal contraction during cryo load
Edit: you'll have to click to the picture to get the animation to play

Second stage now in chilldown (slightly behind schedule)
UPDATE: Interim cryogenic propulsion stage (ICPS) is now in chilldown for liquid hydrogen.
