I wonder why the Starlink webcasts now start at T-5 minutes. Is it to cut down on the filler?
Perhaps they've discovered or concluded that no one but fans who know the drill are watching anymore, and so lining up someone to yap yap ad infinitum is not worth their trouble. Just pipe in mission control audio and call it good.
Unless you want NASA PA to take over the webcasts for the Crew Dragon missions.
QuoteUnless you want NASA PA to take over the webcasts for the Crew Dragon missions. They pretty much already do. It's a terribad experience. Best to have MC audio open in one tab, the webcast in another muted.
Webcast criticism posts aside, as I fear of too many of them cluttering this thread, I’m looking forward to this launch since it’s the beginning of a new Starlink shell series (Group 3).On top of this being beneficial for those living along the polar orbit trajectory. SpaceX wants Starlink to be available anywhere.
A new shell of the Starlink constellation will begin deployment today! The Group 3-1 mission will lift off from Vandenberg SFB in California at 6:39 PM PDT (01:39 UTC), riding Falcon 9 B1063-6.By Anthony Iemole (@SpaceXFan97):https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2022/07/starlink-3-1/
