China News Service, Beijing, August 25 (Ma Shuaisha, Cao Hanjie, Yu Peng, Zhang Yan) At 12:59 on August 25, 2023, Beijing time, the Ceres-1 Y8 carrier rocket was successfully launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in my country. The Jilin-1 kuanfu 02A satellite was successfully sent into the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.
此次任务是谷神星一号运载火箭第8次飞行。(完)

China's commercial CERES-1 Y8 rocket launches new satellite

JIUQUAN, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- China on Friday launched a CERES-1 Y8 carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, sending one new satellite into a planned orbit.

The commercial rocket blasted off at 12:59 p.m. (Beijing Time) from the launch site, carrying the Jilin-1 Kuanfu 02A satellite.

The launch was the 8th flight mission to use the CERES-1 rocket series.

"Jilin-1 KF02A is the first satellite in next-generation of products developed by Chang-guang. Its weight has been reduced from the KF01 series of 1200kg class to 230kg class, (the satellite) will provide users with 150km width, 0.5m resolution satellite image."

Hm, it seems the satellite shown at the big screen of JSLC is not the satellite realy launched (see earlier in this thread). Here is an image of Jilin-1 KF 02A released recently by Chang Guang Satellite Technology (http://www.jl1.cn/product_view.aspx?id=3848).
