Soyuz rocket launched from Plesetsk with GLONASS-M navigation satellite

       Moscow. December 11. INTERFAX - The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the GLONASS-M navigation satellite launched Wednesday from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, the Russian Defence Ministry's Information and Mass Communications Department said.
       December 11 at 11.54 Moscow time a successful launch operation was carried out by the Space Forces of the Air and Space Forces from the launch pad number 3 of the Russian Defence Ministry's No. Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with GLONASS-M navigation spacecraft," the military department said in a statement.
       Initially, the launch was scheduled for December 10, but was postponed for a day for technical reasons.
       The Defence Ministry noted that the pre-launch operations and the launch of the missile were carried out in normal mode. "The means of the ground-based automated spacecraft control complex of the Russian orbital group were monitoring the launch and flight of the rocket," the military department said.

Two Glonass-M (#60 and 61) are in reserve, nine Glonass-K (##15-23) and two Glonass-K (#13 and 14) - in production.

       "The Soyuz-2.1b middle-class launch vehicle, launched at 11.54 Moscow time from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region, successfully launched the Russian GLONASS-M navigation satellite into orbit," the military department said in a statement.
       It is noted that the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket and the launch of the GLONASS-M satellite into orbit by the Fregat booster unit took place as usual.
