See the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft N905NA, a modified Boeing 747, transport Space Shuttle Discovery back to the Kennedy Space Center after the successful STS-26 mission. This video shows the combination pair taking off from Edwards Air Force Base in California on the first leg of the journey on October 8, 1988 to Kelly Air Force Base in Texas.
