China has been in direct communication with Indonesia and Malaysia, at the highest levels of engagement, for the past week.

Are we sure that China wasn't expecting it to land in these regions, and do we know that they didn't communicate this specifically to Indonesia/Malaysia?

They find what could be part of the remains of the Chinese #CZ5B rocket that re-entered the atmosphere without control last Saturday. The place is located near the border between Indonesia and Malaysia, on the island of Borneo.

More than 1200km from the location (Orange) of #CZ5B debris found near Indonesia-Malaysia border to the location (blue) of "splash down" disclosed by CMSA. Let's see if there are other reports of debris along the yellow path.

So, CZ-5B recap: signficant debris falls in Kalimantan, Indonesia and Sawarak, Malaysia (both on Borneo). No casualties or property damage reported, but debris is near villages and a few hundred metres either way could have been a different story.

Watch the small robotic arm on Wentian Laboratory Module moves. It is smaller than the big arm on Tianhe Core, 5m vs 10m, but with finer control. These two can also be connected through an adapter.

Parts of the CZ-5B nose fairing, jettisoned into the ocean during launch on Jul 24, have been found in the Mindoro Strait (Phillipines).

The small 5-metre-long robotic arm on Wentian has passed on-orbit testing. Will next connect with the 10m arm on Tianhe for further testing, CMSA says. Some great views in the video below. Source [CMSA]:

The small robotic arm on Wentian has passed necessary tests. Next, it will be connected with the big arm on Tianhe for more tests. As shown in the animation below, the combined arm is long enough to reach the new airlock section from Tianhe. Looking forward to seeing it!
