Why have all the Soyuz flights next year become TBD?

There are rumors about possible increasing of durations of Soyuz flights, and it means their launches will be delayed, and there will be possibly three Soyuz launches in 2010, because the fourth spacecraft will go into 2011.

Really? Interesting. Any idea of the duration they have in mind?

Increasing the duration by how much? 30 days?

For the program this is probably a Good Thing (capital letters), but it will play hell with advance planning for the Gagarin 50th Anniversary Tour to Moscow and to Baykonur for a Soyuz launch, in March-April 2011.

Production issues?

No, why we can not use full duration of flight if Soyuz TMA on-orbit lifetime is currently 210 days, not counting additional 30 days?

I was kinda wondering about that.  The next several Increments seem a little short - 169, 146, 166, 171, 167 - considering the Soyuz lifetime.  I thought it was just a scheduling issue.  It should give some flexibility to the production schedule whether it's needed or not.

Great! Makes sense to me to use the full 210 days, longer flight times for the astronauts, more data on longer term zero-g exposure, sounds like a win win situation.

Concerning the STS-130 flight:

1.  It was mentioned at the STS-129 post landing news conference that the STS-130 launch will probably be delayed until Feb. 6 so that Progress M-04M can dock before Endeavour launches.

2. From the Oct. 14 STS-130 update on L2 and the Node 3 press kit at:

http://esamultimedia.esa.int/multimedia/ISS/ESA_Node_3_cupola_Infokit.pdf

the following can be stated:

PMA-3 will be relocated to Node-3 port on FD-9
  EVA-3 will occur on FD-10.
The mission will be extended from 12+1+2 to 13+1+2

Has the Soyuz cutout issue been finally resolved, e.g. dropped? Otherwise a small STS-131 launch delay and the mission runs into Soyuz TMA-18.

Almost.  We will likely perform duel docked ops for this case.

Yes, to Node 2 zenith.  That is final.  Still working if it will be during 20A to move to Node 3 port.
