I just realized the party thread is on page 42!
so we should assume that the ultimate answer to life, the universe and everything should be posted soon.

42?  Oh, yeah, I guess it would be with Forum Settings 1.0.  I upgraded to Forum Settings (Upgrade|Full Thrust|1.2|), so we're only on page 17 thanks to the better page message fraction of 50.

There's a payload?

Fortunately there's a payload, otherwise how would we name the mission threads?

We will just call page 17 on setting's v1.2 the Prime Party.

Not to be confused with those who decide to cancel the party 9 seconds before the party.

So, not to be a buzzkill here, but why did this topic get put in the "sticky" section? As I understand it, you make topics sticky because they (a) have useful information many people may want to refer to later, but (b) the topic is infrequently used so it would get otherwise lost in page after page of unused topics. As much as I love (most of) the humor, neither of those criteria would seem to pertain to this thread...
The answer is here.
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=42585.msg1690729#msg1690729

Serious discussion[1] of why decisions about this thread were made is off topic for this thread.

1 - as is any other sort of serious discussion, for that matter.

Therefore your message is serious discussion. Atonement can be made by 10 Hail Elon's and 5 re-watches of OG2(2) landing footage.

To be honest, I'm not sure that the third time will be the charm today.

I'm predicting that another last-second abort will occur for some reason.

Sounds like the ol' insurance bet to me... since you know that reverse psychology doesn't work on rockets, right?

Personally, I think they skipped yesterday because on July 4th rocket launches are all about the BOOM, and that is definitely NOT what should be happening.

If it's a convertible, we may finally have figured out the true origin of the pre-Cartagia style.

We just need the rocket to sit down and talk with the Bobs about its future with the company.

There's something wrong with the BFS TPS?   Or is it Dragon?
