NASA Television will provide live coverage of Dragon's departure beginning at 1:45 p.m. EST.The Dragon spacecraft is scheduled to detach from the Earth-facing side of the station's Harmony module and release through commands sent by ground controllers in mission control at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston operating the Canadarm 2 robotic arm. Mission control will maneuver Dragon into place for its release, which is scheduled for 2:09 p.m.Dragon will execute three thruster firings to move a safe distance from the space station for its deorbit burn at approximately 7 p.m. The capsule will splash down in the Pacific Ocean around 7:44 p.m. The deorbit burn and the splashdown will not air on NASA TV.
Just heard an unusual sound in Node 2... turns out #AstroButch is driving out the bolts that mate #Dragon to Station. Few hours to release!
Amazing orbital sunrise.
ISS Crew bids farewell to Dragon. Even a Russian thank you message.....with no mention of trampolines

Coming home
Splashdown of #Dragon in the Pacific from earlier today, carrying about 3,700 lbs of cargo from the @Space_Station.
Do we know why there are only two of the three parachutes that are open to ? On CRS-2, 3 and 4 they are three parachutes.
There were three parachutes open. It just is difficult to see on the 2 pictures. The top picture does show the third chute, if you look closely.
Do we have the time when it was unberthed? Sounds like some time after 1650 UTC or so...
I saw a picture of the third chute hidden behind the one on the left.
Does anyone know if the mice came back on CRS-5? I thought they were supposed to or least some of them, but I can't find them in any of the public documentation that I have seen.

Spotted at a truck stop near Phoenix yesterday. Says flown hardware. CRS5?

Could it have been the CRS-6 Dragon though? Given its April launch date it should be heading to the Cape around now....

Dragon looks a little worn after it's stay at the ISS. I see a new opportunity for a paint company to look into space based paint that can wear the elements better.
