This is probably a good time to ask a question that occurred to me a long time ago, but for which I have not found an answer:

about half the Soyuz commanders are Energia engineers, the other half are Air Force pilots. I would imagine that the engineers are really, really good at fixing problems at ISS, and the pilots are really good at piloting.  Is that really the case? Are the Air Force pilots demonstrably better than the Energia engineers at piloting Soyuz?

Forcast for landing site - Snow on the ground... temps in the teens or near zero degrees- will be breezy with winds kicking up as high as 30mph...

Station is in undocking attitude... Crew had some trouble with the hatch in the decent module...did leak check and it confirmed closure.. Indicator light was the problem.

It has to be Ferenheit as it is definitley below zero C with snow down there...
