And a nice view of Discovery....with the SSRMS over the view of the orbiter, which the SRMS and OBSS are in the undock stance. So three arms in view.

And a lovely sunrise over the shuttle/station stack.

Crew in post sleep.

Glory launch coming up, so off to do that.

Well that wasn't fun (Glory failed).

Back to a happy mission.

Not quite... smoke alarm is going off in the Pirs docking compartment.

Offline Chris Bergin

Hardly the first time this has happened. Sometimes caused by dust.

Alarm is in Pirs.

Lots of Russian chatter on the loop. They always sound like they are arguing to me :)

Translator now on.

Sounds like they've turned off the dectector.

All readings are zero. No sign of smoke being generated, no odour.

Josh notes they'll investigate the cause of the alarm, but it's a false alarm (it does happen - sensitive detectors, obviously). Crew back into normal routine.

Either that or their next spacecraft.

That's Brazil's BTV next to the ATV and HTV. The Banana Transfer Vehicle will ensure the ISS does not run out of bananas once the Shuttle Program ends.

Crew being informed about the Glory failure.

"Sorry to hear that. That's unfortunate." Commander Kelly.

Per a previous discussion on NSF: maybe they're trying to provide the support necessary to keep L2 running?

DPC was short. I don't think I'll ever moan about rubbish pick ups going to twice weekly again....when listening to Commander Kelly trying to work out where to stow some foam from the CDRA work.
