Cross-post:

Long March 8 Y2 launch delayed to February 2022, will include the first batch of Spacety's Tianxian satellites:

Chinese partnership to create Tianxian SAR satellite constellation [dated Oct. 8]

Quote
HELSINKI — A Chinese state-owned enterprise and a private firm are partnering to establish a 96-satellite SAR constellation, with the first launch set for February 2022.

The 38th institute of the giant state-owned enterprise China Electronics Technology Group (CETC) will work with private satellite manufacturer Spacety to construct a X and C-band synthetic aperture radar constellation named Tianxian. The constellation will consist of 96 small satellites launched into various planes.

The announcement was made at the recent Zhuhai Airshow in south China, which concluded Oct. 3. A contract was signed with the China Great Wall Industry Corp. (CGWIC) for launch of the first batch of satellites on the second Long March 8 in February 2022. A further launch is scheduled for Q3 2020 [typo, actually Q3 2022 in their press release] according to Spacety.

Call-back to CZ-2D news earlier this year; my bold:
Mentioned in this article is that all three inland launch sites will see a CZ-2D launch this year, only one remaining flight in the 3rd quarter with the remaining four launching in the fourth quarter, and each flight will carry a different number of satellites with flights having 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 spacecraft.
CASC says it will make 7 launches with the Long March-2D in 2021, at the moment we have two and there would be 5 left.  [Article dated July 12 Beijing time]
http://m.spacechina.com/n2014789/n2014809/c3273976/content.html?continueFlag=a2e81291e9435daac1688a8293bd7ff9
Four CZ-2D launches thus far this year.

Of those four launches, we've had satellite counts of 1, 4, 5, and 11 (The 11-count is likely the match for 10).

Launch locations thus far: Jiuquan and Taiyuan.

CZ-2D launches in 2021:
China launches in 2021 (times in UTC)

1 - June 11 (03:03) - CZ-2D (Y54) - TSLC, LC9 - Beijing-3, Haisi-2, Yangwang-1, Tianjian

So for months now we knew how many payloads were going to be launched on each launch, really interesting. It will be fun to see the payload configuration of the remaining launches, at least on the CZ-2D.

Thanks for the reminder zubenelgenubi ;)

Daqi seems to have been launched yesterday as MD-1/Guidao Daqi Midu Tance.
It is not correct. Daqi with its five instruments is a main payload, an equivalent to OCO or even Aura, not a small piggyback density-measuring sphere which is MD-1.
This message reflects my personal opinion based on open sources of information.

Egypt Set to Launch the MisrSat-2 Satellite in December 2022 [dated July 30]

Quote
Egypt’s experimental Earth observation satellite, MisrSat-2, is scheduled to be launched in December 2022, just three months behind schedule despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA), Mohammed ElKoosy,  the first phase of the initial designs has been completed, and the engineering model is currently being manufactured with Chinese support. MisrSat-2 satellite is a technology transfer project between the Egyptian Space Agency and the Chinese government to provide Egyptian engineers and scientists with an opportunity to acquire on-the-project experience in satellite design and integration using facilities available in Egypt.

Google translate:

Quote
The Xingkong-1 communications satellite uses the Dongfanghong-4 enhanced platform with a total capacity of 90Gbps. It is currently a Ka broadband satellite system with large capacity and wide coverage in the Asia-Pacific region. On February 7, 2018, Xingkong Time signed a contract with China Great Wall Industry Group Co., Ltd. to start the design and manufacture of the Jianyang Xingkong-1 communications satellite. It is currently in production and is expected to be launched into orbit at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the second half of 2023.

December 29/January 1 - CZ-3B/G? - XSLC, LC2 - Tianji Guganwang Gaogui Weixing (two sats) or
End - CZ-2F/T4 - JSLC, LC43/91 - CSSHQ (F2)

I would like to see the sources for these two as I have never come across references to them lately.
