There is no plan to evacuate the residents of Boca Chica tomorrow. We will have to wait and see if the planned road closure gets cancelled. No hop tomorrow. #wenhop ? continues. 🔥🚀🔥

The winds are predicted to reach 70 knots (80 mph) at the 9 km height. Top right hand diagram from the HRR sounding for 14:00 CT. All models are showing the same so looks to be a good prediction.

Per LabPadre Launch Pad cam: A police vehicle just passed twice with lights flashing, which might suggest they're beginning the process of closing the road and clearing the beach.

TFRs and road closures are still active for today.

Edit: Also, for people worried about the fog, the TAF from Brownsville/SPadre Intl is forecasting that the visibility will improve dramatically over the course of the morning. 🤞

A local has replied to a picture of their over pressure notice to say that the sheriff has informed them that there will not be a flight today, but that there will be testing of some sorts.

Very windy today (wed) with a cold front having moved through. Almost as windy tomorrow (thurs) but ground level winds might drop barely below 15 kts in the late afternoon.
