Launch will be on Nov 1st.

The thread linked here suggests the Q in G1Q is  qudai 取代  (replacement)
and that it will replace Beidou-2 G4.

Do we know what *kind* of Beidou-3 it will be?   Same bus as BD-3I  (1150 kg, SECM/Shanghai)
or same as one of the BD-3M versions (CAST? SECM?)
I wonder if there will be a YZ-1 or if it has its own apogee motor

CAST should be the one that build all BDS-3 geosynchronous satellites (don't quote me though, Chinese literature is hazy on this), but I thought the G satellites are of a new configuration based on the DFH-3B/4S bus (IIRC).

This launch should use the standard 3B/E without an upper stage (notice the rocket shown in the photos above don't have "/YZ-1" stencilled on its exterior).

BTW Xichang was hit by an earthquake about an hour ago - "only" M5.1 & 20 km deep, but the epicenter is <20 km from the pad and apparently the intensity felt was quite strong. Dunno if that will cause a delay.

After further checks over the night the launch is proceeding as planned.

Video of the rocket on the pad.

(Chris note: Youtubed it as that chinese attachment lettering wasn't agreeing with some browsers).
