Does anyone know whether or not the vertical assembly of the LM 2F rocket is already underway in the Vertical Assembly Building?

If I understand the first paragraph of http://chinanews.com.cn/gn/news/2008/06-25/1292897.shtml , the CZ-2F is still on acceptance tests at the Plant 211.

But what exactly says the last paragraph? About the Shenzhou 8 in 2010 using the advanced CZ-2F/G launch vehicle?

This is very interesting. Maybe the CZ-2F/G is the version to be used to launch the unmanned ShenZhou-8. Is the Shenzhou-8 has two dockings ports and some heavy life support equipment, the CZ-2F maybe doesn't have the enough power to launch it.

The report says that the test of SZ-7 was over, and will delivered to launch site in Auguest. The spaceship will continue testing in the launch site. The CZ-2F used for launching SZ-7 has more than 30 modifications comparing to the previous one. The last paragraph says SZ-8 will be an unmanned one, used for docking test. I guess SZ-8 will dock with SZ-9 and then SZ-10. SZ-8 will be launched by CZ-2F/G, an improved CZ-2F, around 2010.

Now that is interesting!  The picture in the above looks like the LM-2E(A).

See the link below for a graphic of the latter:

http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Launchpad/1921/cz2ea.jpg

I seem to recall that the payload of the 2E(A) version was to be about 14t to LEO.

If the Babelfish translation is correct, the image SHOWS a LM-2E(A). Also the blurred inscript on the model could well be "CZ-2E(A)"

Another thing...will they launch an expensive payload like the station without testing this new launcher first?

I'd guess not, so we should expect a test launch.  Maybe 2009?

I don't CZ-2F/G will have much difference with CZ-2F. Maybe just a CZ-2F without escape rocket and has a new fairing. Since CZ-8 will be unmanned, so no escape rocket is needed.

Well, does this article

http://chinaneast.xinhuanet.com/jszb/2008-07/02/content_13698639.htm

say that Shenzhou 7 and CZ-2F gas been officially delivered on June 26 and 27, and that these are scheduled to be transported to Jiuquan in early July and early August respectively?

I suppose this is only a training model of the Shenzhou-7 for the technicians preparing the vehicle for flight. But note the background of the photo were the image was retouched to hidden something.

The original story is here.

One thing haven't mentioned in recent reports is China's first tracking and data relay satellite, which is expected to participate in the Manned-space project. It will be interesting to watch how it work with the Shenzhou VII spaceship. I hope media will cover that.

http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/hyperbola/2008/07/video-china-tv-reveals-shenzho.html

China's English language state owned television channel CCTV9 has revealed the fact that on its past two manned missons the astronauts have experienced physical discomfort from the vibration of the rocket on its ascent
The tv news segment goes on to report that the rocket's chief designer says that changes to the "frequencies" of the engines and the "electrical circuits" have been made to try to eliminate this vibration problem.
