Ka (K above) band is higher frequency than Ku (K under), so I would imagine would to be harder to make. Here's a 2014 Russian paper on a Ka TWT design, so I would imagine Russia have the necessary expertise to make their own TWT's if necessary.

It was, in fact, Ka-band. But those are supposed to last 10 to 15 years. That's not something easily achievable, exactly on the hottest segment of the GSO market. I simply don't see how Proton can get a commercial payload if Russia is embargoed of Western TWTA.

They have the payloads however finding one that is ready to fly is TBD.

Paywalled article: Proton loses payloads in Ukraine war

Summary: The ExoMars-2022 Proton-M/Briz-M's upper stage has custom boards with custom software for the flight profile loaded into its BTsVK box, custom spacecraft payload adapter, and modified short PLF amongst other modifications making a quick reassignment difficult.

MOSCOW, 4 May. /TASS/. Director General of the Center M. V. Khrunichev (part of Roskosmos) Alexei Varochko in an interview with TASS said that only 13 Proton-M launch vehicles remained to be launched.

“We continue to assemble Proton launch vehicles, there are four more to be assembled. Taking into account the December launch of Proton with Express satellites and the already assembled launch vehicles, we have 13 launches left,” Varochko said.

Is there any new news regarding Luch-5X a.k.a Luch-4 a.k.a. Olimp-K?

Any indication of it launching this year?

Is Angosat-2 the only remaining Proton-M launch this year?

It is a launch on demand/as needed  Kosmos payload with no leaked target date. Just a net quarter by quarter date timeframe. The current info is an industry provided Proton-M launch readiness target. Its launcher remains in post checkout storage at the launchsite with periodic checks every time the readiness target is updated. Note the information is as stated in the RSW insider content manifest of remaining Proton-M's.

The Angosat-2 is now scheduled for launch on October 12. The Elektro-L No.4 and No.5 are to be launched by the Proton in 2023 and 2024 respectively. I should note that the Luch-4 satellite has been renamed Yenisey A1.

Not related regarding this program and has not been renamed: https://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/olimp-k.htm
They could both be under Luch-4, but I haven't seen anything to support that.

The Luch-5 satellite is now scheduled for launch in late November, and is called Olimp-K2 in another thread.

As of 30 June 2022, Eutelsat S.A. had a receivable of 37 million dollars from a supplier of fixed assets, ILS, following the termination of a launcher contract. The ability to recover this receivable will be reassessed at regular intervals as required by developments in the situation.

Or the loss on an unused launch option or options?
See this thread: ILS Proton-M - Eutelsat launches 2016-2023 Agreement

37 million dollars for an option?  It also says launcher contract.

With the highly flexible Breeze-M, Eutelsat would have had an excellent orbit for an all-electric 4.5t Hotbird.
The Falcon-9 can't do that, not even expendable.

Olimp-K 2 should be using either its MoD assigned Proton which has been waiting for the payload to ship to meet it or based on other sources may use the ExoMars-2022 rocket.

Yes their are annual options within the MoU and the following were converted to a firm contract and flown:
Eutelsat 9B/EDRS A (29.01.2016)
Eutelsat 5 West B / MEV 1 (13.12.2021)

From the TASS news agency:
Quote
There are 10 vehicles manufactured at the enterprise. Two vehicles are being manufactured, next year we will complete the production of [missiles] Proton," Varochko said.

According to the general director of the enterprise, two such rockets are currently at the Baikonur cosmodrome, and two more will be sent in the near future. “When the payload is ready, we will launch,” he added.

Varochko also said that the payload for five of the 12 Proton heavy launch vehicles had been determined.
