(acquisition of signal, my office)

Steve Bowen is out the hatch as of 1332 UTC. (0.5 psi time on the depress was 1325 UTC, I think?)

Edit - Woody Hoburg is also out the hatch as of 1335 UTC.

Our first helmet-cam view from Hoburg as he gets to the port CETA cart to stow some tools and grab an APFR.

Edit - took some elbow grease but Hoburg finally got the APFR off its mounting point.

The trunk of Dragon looks like it's in stealth mode--must a lighting quirk :)

Some personnel notes - Sultan al Neyadi is on SSRMS duty, and Canadian astronaut Jenni Sidey-Gibbons is the ground IV.

TDRS-8 is active at Canberra, but not passing EVA comms...  https://eyes.nasa.gov/dsn/dsn.html

Wrapped up my Friday morning meetings, so pictures can resume...  ;D

They're just about to remove the last couple of bolts holding the iROSA onto the flight support equipment.

Ah well, this is the fifth time they've done an iROSA install spacewalk, maybe the novelty's worn off.

Hoburg is being flown over to the 1A mod kit worksite.

Edit - good view of both spacewalkers in this angle.

I think John Kraus probably wins for the coolest photography of this morning's spacewalk.

Ground IV had them pause the SSRMS motion, since they're ahead of schedule and need to make sure everyone's synced up.

Bowen: "Told you you'd be waiting on me!"

Hoburg: "Thanks for doing all the work while I just ride the arm."

Great view from Bowen's helmet cam of Hoburg inbound with the iROSA, with ESP-3 and the S4 IEA in the background.

Working to get the first half of the iROSA soft-docked on the mod kit.

Hoburg is out of the APFR. (It would seem that not getting vertigo is an important quality for an astronaut!)

Also, a neat "Thank You, First Responders" message in Hoburg's wrist checklists.

Hoburg takes over holding iROSA closed for a sec so that Bowen can re-install a grounding pin on the mounting bracket that had come loose (and presumably to stretch his arms for a bit).

Heading into an area of ratty comms / LOS for the next 6 minutes, still go to unfold the iROSA.

Ground reported they had "spotty shah SS" during the TDRS gap.  I've heard several references to tests of this and my guess is it's VHF coverage through Russian ground sites that are in the TDRS-Z gap coverage footprint
