There are currently four or five EMU suit units aboard the ISS.

EMU #3004, #3006, #3009, #3013 i #3015;

Which spacesuit was brought to Earth and by what ship?

Thanks for information.

EMU #3015 was brought to earth with Dragon Spx-25 on August 19, 2022.

But when and which spacecraft EMU #3013 was brought back to ISS? The suit was transported to Earth with STS-121 on 17.07.2006.

For more details please see http://www.spacefacts.de/eva/e_emu.htm

And what is about EMU #3018? Is it still on ISS?

EMU #3018 was in 2017 used for "ground chamber use only", like EMU #3013 at this same time.

Space Delivery Arriving Tonight as Crew Scans Eyes and Veins

Mark Garcia Posted on October 27, 2022

.
.

Astronaut Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) spent his day inside the Quest airlock working on spacesuit maintenance with assistance from Rubio. The duo cleaned the spacesuit’s cooling loops and reconfigured the suit’s components in anticipation of upcoming spacewalks.

https://blogs.nasa.gov/spacestation/2022/10/27/space-delivery-arriving-tonight-as-crew-scans-eyes-and-veins/

So can we suppose that Rubio and Wakata will perform this EVA?

Any info?

Per Rob Navias, EVA-81 is on 15 Nov for 1B mod kit, EVA-82 is 28 Nov for 3A iROSA installation and EVA-83 is 1 Dec for 4A iROSA installation.

For EVA-81, Cassada is EV1 and Rubio is EV2.
Names for later EVAs will be announced after the completion of EVA-81.

Per Rob Navias

1B was originally to be one of the unmodified power channels, but power draws on that channel were re-evaluated and the installation of iROSAs was reallocated.

Current iROSA array installation plan:
4A/4B - 2 arrays already installed by Kimbrough/Pesquet in Jun 2021
3A - array to be installed NET 28 Nov 2022
4A - array to be installed NET 1 Dec 2022

1B - mod kit to be installed 15 Nov 2022
1A - mod kit to be installed Jan 2023

Crew just asked whether they should restow the spare HUT, 2036, with the issues they are currently having with 3009.  The PMM restow location is not easy to access and MCC-H confirmed they want 2036 to stay in the airlock.

MEDIA ADVISORY M22-163
NASA to Provide Coverage of Preview Briefing, US Spacewalks

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station will conduct a series of U.S. spacewalks in November and December to install mounting hardware and a pair of rollout solar arrays to increase electrical power to support station operations and scientific research.

NASA will preview the upcoming International Space Station Rollout Solar Array (iRosa) spacewalks and provide coverage of all three live on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website.

At 2 p.m. EST Monday, Nov. 7, NASA will host a preview of the spacewalks at the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, with the following agency participants:

Dina Contella, operations integration manager, International Space Station Program
    Anthony Vareha, spacewalk flight director
    Fiona Turett, spacewalk flight director
    Kieth Johnson, spacewalk officer
    Chris Mundy, spacewalk officer

Media wishing to participate in the news conference in person must request credentials from the Johnson newsroom no later than 5 p.m. EDT Friday, Nov. 4 at: 281-483-5111 or [email protected]. Media interested in participating by phone must contact the Johnson newsroom no later than two hours before the start of the call. Those wanting to submit a question on social media may do so using #askNASA.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio will exit the station’s Quest airlock to assemble a mounting bracket on the starboard side of the station’s truss assembly. Live coverage of the spacewalk will begin at 6:30 a.m. The spacewalk is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and last about seven hours.

Cassada will serve as extravehicular crew member 1 (EV 1) and will wear a suit with red stripes. Rubio will serve as extravehicular crew member 2 (EV 2) and will wear the unmarked suit. The spacewalk will be the first for both Cassada and Rubio.

The bracket and other hardware for the spacewalk is targeted to launch Sunday, Nov. 6, on the agency’s next Northrop Grumman Cygnus commercial resupply mission. The iROSAs will be installed on future spacewalks after delivery aboard the agency’s SpaceX Dragon commercial resupply mission scheduled to launch Friday, Nov. 18.

The next two U.S. spacewalks are scheduled on Monday, Nov. 28, and Thursday, Dec. 1. On Nov. 28, two astronauts will install an iROSA for the 3A power channel, and on Dec. 1 a pair of astronauts will install an iROSA on the port truss for the 4A power channel. These will be the third and fourth iROSAs out of a total six planned for installation. The iROSAs will increase power generation capability by up to 30%, increasing the station’s total available power from 160 kilowatts to up to 215 kilowatts.

NASA will confirm astronaut roles and start times for the Nov. 28 and Dec. 1 spacewalks after the first spacewalk is completed. Follow the space station blog for the latest updates.

The US crew spent the day, normally a non-duty day, in the airlock doing fit checks.  No issues reported.

EMU 3004 and 3013 are in use but dis someone know the suit assignment ?

To make it simple, which suit is use by Josh and which by Franck ?

I asked JSC PAO Rob Navias about the status of EMU #3006.
The EMU was returned to Earth.

So there are only three EMU units aboard the ISS (#3004, #3009 and #3013).

@Joachim and @marcdrnl: Thanks for clarification of the situation on this topic.

Frank thanked ground controllers for rapidly helping him assemble suit 3004 over the last 24 hours which leads me to believe it is replacing 3009...

So Cassada #3013, and Rubio #3004

Is confirmed?

NASA Astronauts Begin Spacewalk for Solar Array Work

Mark Garcia Posted on November 15, 2022

Expedition 68 Flight Engineers Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio of NASA began a spacewalk at 9:14 a.m. EST to assemble a mounting bracket on the starboard side of the station’s truss assembly in preparation for the installation of a pair of International Space Station Rollout Solar Arrays on the space station.

Cassada, designated extravehicular crew member 1 (EV1), is wearing a suit with red stripes. Rubio, designated extravehicular crewmember 2 (EV 2), is in an unmarked suit. Coverage of the spacewalk continues on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website.

NASA Astronauts Complete Spacewalk to Prep for Upcoming Solar Array Upgrades

Heidi Lavelle Posted on November 15, 2022

Expedition 68 Flight Engineers Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio of NASA concluded their spacewalk at 4:25 p.m. EST after 7 hours and 11 minutes in preparation for upcoming solar array installation.

Cassada and Rubio completed the majority of the primary objectives for today to assemble a mounting bracket on the starboard side of the station’s truss assembly in preparation for the installation of a pair of International Space Station Rollout Solar Arrays (iROSAs).

The duo completed the routing of cables on the 3A power channel, and began the installation process of a modification kit on the 1B power channel, which will act as a scaffolding for the new solar arrays. The crew deferred some planned tasks associated with the completion of the modification kit, including the installation of collars, and the routing of cables for the 1B power channel. The remaining work will be completed during a future spacewalk prior to the arrival of the solar arrays for the 1B power channel, and no changes are planned for the next two upcoming U.S. spacewalks.

It was the 254th spacewalk in support of space station assembly, upgrades and maintenance, and was the first spacewalk for both astronauts. Cassada and Rubio are in the midst of a planned six-month science mission living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions, including lunar missions through NASA’s Artemis program.

The next two U.S. spacewalks are scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 3. On Nov. 29, two astronauts will install an iROSA for the 3A power channel, and on Dec. 3 a pair of astronauts will install an iROSA on the port truss for the 4A power channel. These will be the third and fourth iROSAs out of a total six planned for installation. The iROSAs will increase power generation capability by up to 30%, increasing the station’s total available power from 160 kilowatts to up to 215 kilowatts.
