Crew is hot-miked. Onishi and Kim are starting to walk them through depressurization procedures.

I think the silver thing Kim is sticking to the wall there is a pressure gauge - suppose it makes sense that you'd want to make sure the pressure in the equipment lock doesn't move!

Around 8 psi in the crew lock, per the commentator.

McClain reports a 2-4 mm slit in the RTV on her glove (right index finger) during the initial glove check.
Ground teams are having her turn on her HECA so they can take a look.

That had to occur while she was in the crew lock...

HECA views of McClain's glove, although it's hard for me to tell what's reflection vs. what might be a slit through to the white fabric.

Go to continue - no additional checks needed now, but McClain's been told to keep an eye on it.

EV crew is switching comms from Kim and Onishi over to ground IV Marcos Berrios.
Calling down initial tether configurations.

Pressure is now falling below 50 millibar (Jonathan McDowell's EVA start metric - about 0.7 psi).

Berrios mentions by way of reminder that there are 4 extended Ku outages of 20-40 minutes during the EVA during which they will not have video or HECA coverage, with the first starting in about 30 mintues. S-band remains go for audio comms during those periods.

repeating my earlier report that there will be no TDRS 275/Z Ku coverage. There will be S band so there will be audio. 25-30 minute gaps cannot be blamed on 275/Z which is a gap filler between W and E coverage--gaps are usually 10-12 minutes. DoD is hogging one of the two...

Pressure less than 0.5 psi - go to proceed with hatch ops. (ISS Mimic is reading 8.9 torr.)

Why all the "data reviews"? These are not normal
