Booster 8 moved from the rocket garden into the megabay in the middle of last night. The garden is looking very different these days.#Starbase #Starship #SpaceX 📸 Me for WAI Media @FelixSchlang
Booster 8 just peeked out of the Megabay for a moment, revealing that one of its Hydraulic Power Units has been removed. It has since gone back inside, but cool that we got a peek, lol.📸 @LabPadre
A Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is used to power the hydraulic Thrust Vector Control, also known as the gimballing system, for the Raptor engines. Superheavy Boosters have 2 of these units.📸 @RGVaerialphotos
Booster 8 is being sliced apart in the MegaBay...and they are forcing Booster 9 to watch! 😅nsf.live/starbase
Booster 8 coming apart quickly in the megabay. Sorry for those that thought it might have been in for an upgrade.#Starbase #Starship #SpaceX 📸 Me for WAI Media @FelixSchlang
In the last hour, Booster 8 has been sliced in half, and a PEZ Payload Dispenser box is on a roll. Some clips:Live: nsf.live/starbase
Crews worked on Booster 7's HPU cover ahead of the upcoming full stack WDR, large GSE pipes were delivered, and Booster 10's fwd section was rolled out of the Mid Bay.Video/Photos from Myself, Nic (@NicAnsuini) and Starbase Live for @NASASpaceflight.➡️

And with that, Booster 8 has vacated the Megabay. Both B8 and S22 have been completely destacked. However, section disassembly will take a bit longer in the scrapyard.📸 @LabPadre
Booster 11’s Forward section just came out of Tent 1 and has parked in the Ring Yard, giving us an excellent view of how the load points attach to the Booster’s dome. These need to be tied into the Booster’s structure in order to be strong enough to lift it by.🎥 @LabPadre
This is a view of one of Booster 4’s load points prior to installation, in order to show the general shape. This was seen in Tim Dodd’s first Starbase tour with Elon Musk.📸 @Erdayastronaut

Is it just me or has this thrust puck lost weight? OK, evidently this is the backside, so not used to seeing it from this orientation. Still looks super thin though.#Starbase #Starship #SpaceX 📸 Me for WAI Media @FelixSchlang
