**UPDATES ONLY** for the BFH at Boca Chica. This thread will run through to the test flights.

Please do not hotlink to photo attachments. All it does is drain our servers and the person clicking on it on an external site never visits NSF, so we end up being a free server to Reddit or whatever, and they are big business making millions, so it's unfair. Link to the forum post, so at least the person wanting to see the photos visits NSF.

L2 SpaceX Boca Chica Photos/Videos Update Thread (now a new standalone thread out of L2 SpaceX Pads and Facilities due to the surge in content):
https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=47107.0

L2 is awesome, but remember it's primary function, it's what pays for our servers and man we've gone through some huge amounts of additional bandwidth with these millions of views and GBs of downloads just on Starship content, never mind everything else this site covers, so this is your way to help NSF cover its costs. It's our "tip jar", our "Patreon", etc, but with big benefits to those who sub.

Rules: Photos and updates only. Everything else in the discussion thread. If you see a post of interest in this thread, quote it, paste into a new post on the discussion thread and then add your comment and post.

If not your own photos, make sure the source is linked and accredited. Any news links, make sure it's adding something and not just some short blog based around photos taken from NSF (happens a lot ;D)

-

Next post will be a photo catch up summary (not all of them, obviously, but a quick A-to-B).

And we're up to date with highlights from the 60+ page discussion thread.

Again, this is update only. You can carry on as normal in the discussion thread, but this just provides pure updates. There will be NSF articles to come (one already in draft) adding some additional/unique footage from L2's BFH section. That article will be linked in here and add some more. So that's the purpose of this thread.

Non updates will be deleted. Viable posts from discussion (deemed to be good enough for the update thread), will be merged into here.

This is how the hopper would look like when assembled. This isn't taking into account adding extra covers onto the fins, or polishing the skin to get a more uniform finish.

A UFO was spotted observing the Boca Chica flying water tank.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

For anyone wondering about quality of finish:

Certainly is shiny, if somwhat lacking a "smooth" appearance on the Outer Mold Line/Skin (unless something is going to be done about that? Or if it needs to be done for hops).

It should look "better", but it won't have that perfect mirror look of the rendering.  And never will.

The hopper most likely will not, indeed. The actual starship however most probably will ;p
