Two upper stages are being prepared for launch at once at Vostochny.

Specialists from the Vostochny Space Center (a branch of the Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation Center) and the Lavochkin Research and Production Association (part of Roskosmos State Corporation) are filling the Fregat upper stage with fuel components and compressed gases at the Vostochny spaceport fueling and neutralization station.

The Fregat upper stage, manufactured by the Lavochkin Science and Production Association, is to be launched under a contract with a foreign customer from the Vostochny launch site in late May. Work on the refueling of "Fregat" in accordance with the schedule will be held until May 13, 2021.

At the same time in the assembly and testing facility for spacecraft specialists conducted pneumatic and electrical tests of the upper stage "Fregat" is intended for launch under the contract with a foreign customer, scheduled for July.

The launch of the fourth batch of 36 OneWeb spacecraft from the Vostochny launch site is scheduled for May 2021. The fifth fully commercial launch from the Vostochny launch site, implemented by French company Arianespace for OneWeb from the Russian launch site, is expected in July.

The next launch of British communications satellites OneWeb carrier rocket "Soyuz-2.1b" from the Baikonur Vostochny is scheduled for the evening of May 27, two sources in the rocket and space industry told RIA Novosti.
"The launch is scheduled for May 27 at 8:43 p.m. Moscow time (May 28 at 2:43 a.m. local time - ed.)," the source said.
Another RIA Novosti source confirmed this information.

Another source of RIA Novosti confirmed this information.

The contract between Arianespace and OneWeb for 21 launches of Soyuz rockets from Baikonur, Vostochny and Kuru was signed in June 2015. In September 2020, OneWeb announced that the number of contracted Soyuz launches had been reduced to 19. Six have already been performed: two from Baikonur, three from Vostochny and one from Kuru, and 182 satellites have been put into orbit.
OneWeb is going to begin providing commercial satellite communications services at the end of 2021 and by the end of 2022 to deploy a constellation of 648 satellites, which will provide broadband Internet access to users around the world through full coverage of the Earth's surface.

A joint team of specialists from the Vostochny Space Center (a branch of the Ground Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation Center) and the Progress Rocket and Space Center (part of Roskosmos State Corporation) conducted operations to relocate the "package" (first and second stages) of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle to the launch pad in preparation for testing.

In the near future the calculation will begin pneumatic and electrical tests of the product. On the same day, specialists of the Space Center "Vostochny" ensured transportation of fairing flaps from the assembly and test body of the launch vehicle in the spacecraft housing for further assembly.

Upper stage "Fregat" for this mission is in the refueling-neutralization station. Work on its refueling in accordance with the schedule will be held until May 13, 2021. All work is in preparation for the launch of the fourth batch of 36 OneWeb spacecraft from the Vostochny cosmodrome, which is scheduled for May 2021.

"Specialists at the Vostochny Space Center (a branch of the Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, part of Roskosmos State Corporation) used a transborder gallery to transport the space head module, assembled the day before, to the assembly and test body of the launch vehicle. The part of the rocket includes the Fregat upper stage and spacecraft installed on the transition farm of the satellite company OneWeb.

In accordance with the integrated training schedule, a joint crew of specialists conducted docking of the space head module with the third stage of Soyuz-2.1b rocket in the assembly hall. "The "package" of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, consisting of both the first and second stages, was moved to a transport and installation unit. General assembly of the space rocket, which is the final operation before being taken to the launch pad, will take place in the next few days.

Flight ST32: Arianespace to serve OneWeb’s ambitions by increasing its satellite fleet to more than 200 spacecraft

May 20, 2021
The next Arianespace mission is planned from Vostochny Cosmodrome with Soyuz on May 27, to deliver 36 satellites into orbit.

By operating this seventh flight on behalf of OneWeb, Arianespace will bring the total fleet to 218 satellites in Low Earth Orbit.

Flight ST32, the fourth commercial mission performed by Arianespace and its Starsem affiliate from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, will put 36 of OneWeb’s satellites into a near-polar orbit at an altitude of 450 kilometers. The mission will have a total duration of three hours and 51 minutes and will include nine separations of four satellites, which will raise themselves to their operational orbit. This seventh launch to the benefit of OneWeb will bring up to speed Arianespace’s operations this year, and will raise from 183 to 218 the number of satellites deployed for the global telecommunications operator.

OneWeb’s mission is to bring internet everywhere to everyone, by creating a global connectivity platform through a next generation satellite constellation in low Earth orbit. OneWeb’s constellation will deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity services to a wide range of customer sectors including aviation, maritime, backhaul services, as well as governments, emergency response services and more. Central to its purpose, OneWeb seeks to bring connectivity to every place where fiber cannot reach, and thereby bridge the digital divide.

Once deployed, the OneWeb constellation will enable user terminals that are capable of offering 3G, LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi coverage, providing high-speed access globally – by air, sea and land.

OneWeb Satellites, a joint venture between OneWeb and Airbus Defence and Space, is the constellation’s prime contractor. The satellites were built thanks to its leading-edge satellite manufacturing process that can build up to two satellites a day on a series production line dedicated to the assembly, integration, and testing of the satellites.

" In the assembly and test facility at the Vostochny cosmodrome, specialists from Roskosmos subsidiaries, the Vostochny Space Center (a branch of the Ground Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation Center) and the Progress Rocket and Space Center, completed general assembly of the Soyuz-2.1b space rocket as part of mission number 47 on May 21, 2021.

According to the pre-launch schedule, the space head module (Fregat upper stage and 36 OneWeb spacecraft under the payload fairing) and the third stage with the "package" (including side blocks and the second stage) of the carrier were docked. Upon completion of the docking, electrical connections were assembled and piping for temperature control was installed. At present, the space rocket is installed on the transport and installation unit before it is taken to the launch pad.

Are the mission's name and emblem already established more than a month before the scheduled launch date? Anyone know about this? Thanks.

ILV "Soyuz-2.1b" with OneWeb spacecraft is ready for export to Vostochny

05/22/2021 11:32

At the Vostochny cosmodrome, a meeting of the State Commission for conducting flight tests of spacecraft launch vehicles was held on readiness for transport to the launch complex and preparation for the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket under the OneWeb program (mission No. 47).

Based on the results of reports on the preparation of the rocket and ground space infrastructure, the State Commission decided to remove the space rocket from the assembly and test building and install it in a vertical position at the launch site on May 24, 2021. The start of work on transportation to the launch complex is scheduled at 01:00 Moscow time (07:00 local time), after which specialists from subsidiaries of the State Corporation Roscosmos will begin work according to the schedule of the first launch day. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be active preparations for receiving a space rocket.

The launch of 36 new spacecraft of the satellite company OneWeb is scheduled for May 27, 2021 at 20:43 Moscow time. This will be the fourth fully commercial launch from the Russian Vostochny cosmodrome, implemented under contracts between Glavkosmos (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) with the European launch services provider Arianespace (operator of OneWeb spacecraft launches using the Soyuz launch vehicle) and Starsem for OneWeb from this cosmodrome.
