Thanks Michael - I'm not used to watching weather underneath the track over the Atlantic... And good catch Matthew - with all the stuff about today being canceled I wasn't paying close enough attention. That certainly would have been a sign had I noticed :)

I just sent a note to the mod about a new DISC thread and I'll post more thoughts once that's up. In the meantime - for those who I haven't met - I'm a meteorologist / space buff that is lucky enough to visit KSC once or twice a year when I travel with FEMA for teaching. I've been doing crewed launch forecasts since STS-121 back in 2006, adding just my personal insight into the process and frequent updates when they can be of value. I got to know several of the USAF forecasters back in the day, and chat with the NWS Spaceflight Meteorology Group periodically these days.

So I'm not making official forecasts - and I'm not downplaying USAF mets if I differ because 1) they do this far more often than I do 2) they have far more tools than I do and 3) they have lives on the line, I just have the hopes of NSF users on the line :) . I'm just here as a second opinion.
