Xingshi-1 - ? - ? - June 2025?
« on: 06/15/2025 02:22 am »
This (星实一号) was previously the 增长一号 (Zēngzhǎng-1) capsule of Beijing Xingji Development Technology Co., Ltd. (北京星际开发科技有限公司, also known as InterSpace Explore), it made the news in 2021 with a potential Ceres-1 launch back then but the company has been relatively quiet since, they notably raised Round A funding in late 2024/early 2025.

It is reported that China's commercial aerospace is about to usher in a major breakthrough. It is expected that in June 2025, the "Xingshi No. 1" small cargo spacecraft of Beijing Xingji Development Technology Co., Ltd. will achieve its first flight. This will be China's first commercial space cargo return platform.

A couple days ago they announced the succesful vacuum testing of their assembled, spacecraft with its 'subsequent delivery"

The "Xingshi" spacecraft developed by Beijing Xingji Development Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed the vacuum thermal test of the prototype. In multiple rounds of working condition tests, the "Xingshi" spacecraft performed well. The onboard equipment and ground test equipment operated stably and coordinated well. All test data were true, valid, complete and reliable, and the expected test goals were perfectly achieved. The success of this test indicates that the reliability and stability of the "Xingshi" spacecraft in dealing with the extreme environment of space have been fully verified, laying a solid foundation for its subsequent smooth delivery and application.

It seems it's also alternatively simply named Guiyang small cargo spacecraft/贵阳号小型货运飞船 after the city

"The Guiyang small cargo spacecraft is currently the most advanced commercial cargo spacecraft in China. It has many core technologies. Its takeoff weight is 350 kilograms, and its maximum cargo capacity can reach 150 kilograms. It supports multiple reuses and is the only purely commercial return cargo spacecraft in China. At present, all flight products of the spacecraft have completed production and testing, and are scheduled to be shipped from Guiyang in June this year to achieve the first commercial flight." Fu Shiming, chairman of Beijing Interstellar Development Technology Co., Ltd., said that it has signed a contract with Guiyang and plans to build a satellite intelligent manufacturing factory and a large-scale scientific research and production base for spacecraft in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone. It is expected that Guiyang will soon become a highland leading the development of global aerospace vehicles.

It probably won't launch in June, but it may launch soon after.
