New meteorological satellite products assembled in Tianjin

On the 17th, the R&D team of Yunyao Aerospace began to assemble a new model of meteorological satellite, which will be launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Base at the end of the month. As a high-tech enterprise engaged in meteorological satellite payload research and development, meteorological data collection and application services, the products developed by Yunyao Aerospace have filled the gap in meteorological data detection from 0 to 3 kilometers near the earth's surface.

Yunyao Aerospace was founded by Tianda University alumni. With the special meteorological detection equipment developed, they won the special prize in the Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at the beginning of their business and received 5 million financing support from Beiyang Haitang Fund. This year, the company also established a key laboratory for ocean remote sensing in cooperation with the Ocean College of Tianjin University.

Now, the ocean weather service product newly developed by Yunyao Aerospace is being trialled by a shipping company in Shanghai. In order to develop more application scenarios, the company will also establish a meteorological center and satellite standardized production base in Tianjin this year.
The Yunyao Qixiang (云遥气象卫星) Will be luanhced end of April, I guess by Gushenxing-1 because some of Yunyao's payloads were launhced by Gushenxing-1.

The Municipal Guarantee Company uses financial guarantee to solve the financing problems of enterprises and promote the development of new quality productivity

Speaking of satellite launches, in many people's impressions, it is something that only the "national team" can do. However, in recent years, more and more private enterprises have begun to get involved in the field of commercial aerospace. In the Airport Economic Zone, there is a company specializing in meteorological satellite launches and global meteorological data production, application and promotion, called Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. In the past month, Deputy General Manager Wang Pengcheng has frequently traveled between Tianjin and Gansu. At the end of May, three new meteorological satellites of the company will be launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Wang Pengcheng said:

(Recording: This year's plan is to launch a total of 41 networks, and the last phase will be completed next year. The world's largest meteorological space monitoring satellite constellation consisting of 90 satellites will be built. Meteorological data can be updated every 10-20 minutes, providing global users with high-efficiency weather forecasts, short-term earthquake forecast services, and deep processing of data for aviation, navigation, new energy and other industries.)

Yunyao Aerospace was established in 2019. Since the launch of the first satellite in 2021, there are already 18 satellites in orbit, which can produce tens of thousands of meteorological data every day. Wang Pengcheng said with emotion that R&D innovation and satellite launches require a lot of money. The company can achieve rapid development within 5 years. In addition to its own efforts, it also benefits from the support of the city's financial institutions.

In 2022, after the Municipal Guarantee Company learned about Yunyao Aerospace's technical products and development needs, it provided the company with a credit of 20 million yuan that year. Chen Cheng, project manager of the Municipal Guarantee Company, said that the reason for supporting Yunyao Aerospace is that it has taken a fancy to its development potential. In today's words, the company's technology meets the requirements of new quality productivity:

(Recording: The team members mainly come from professional institutions such as the Fifth Academy of Aerospace and the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory. They have participated in major domestic scientific research projects and are also one of the earliest research teams engaged in meteorological data algorithms. At present, the company has the most satellites in orbit in China, and its reliability is relatively guaranteed. It is also a new growth engine for commercial aerospace. We include it in the service objects of key support.)

This year, as the number of satellite launches continues to increase, the funds required have also increased accordingly. The Municipal Guarantee Company responded quickly, increased the credit limit, and ensured the smooth implementation of the company's satellite launch plan. Fan Min, financial manager of Yunyao Aerospace, said:

(Recording: Because we expect to launch 90 satellites, the funds are about 200 million yuan. After the Municipal Guarantee Company learned about this situation, their project team conducted due diligence for about two or three days and approved a quota of 100 million yuan. It really helped us in time and solved our urgent needs.)

This year, the Municipal Guarantee Company continued to increase its support for small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises, and provided financing guarantee services to nearly 300 high-quality enterprises in the first quarter. Guo Qian, deputy general manager of the company, said that the next step will focus on Tiankai Park and other key science and technology parks in the city to provide enterprises with continuous and stable financial liquidity:

(Recording: In the process of construction and development of Tiankai Park, the Municipal Guarantee Company, as the first batch of financial institutions to settle in, opened an exclusive service window in the comprehensive service hall. In the past year, it has provided government financing guarantee services to 77 enterprises, with an amount of more than 260 million yuan. In the next step, the Municipal Guarantee Company will register a district-level wholly-owned subsidiary in "Tiankai Park" and launch Tiankai Park's exclusive financing guarantee products "Tiankai Entrepreneurship Insurance" and "Tiankai Science and Technology Innovation Insurance", using Tianjin Guarantee as a tool to help cultivate new quality productivity.)
The three of payloads might be Yunyao Qixiang (云遥气象卫星).

The "Yunyao-1" meteorological constellation has successfully added three more stars!

At 7:39 am on May 31, 2024, Beijing time, three new meteorological space remote sensing satellites of Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. were launched on the Ceres-1 Yao-12 carrier rocket. The satellites successfully entered the predetermined orbit and the launch mission was a complete success. China's commercial aerospace and meteorological data fields have another good news! So far, the Yunyao-1 meteorological constellation has 19+2 members in orbit, and the world's largest meteorological satellite constellation has further taken shape.

The 14th, 25th and 26th satellites of the Yunyao-1 constellation launched by Yunyao Aerospace this time are named "Hebei Linxi-1 Satellite", "Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Satellite" and "Nishuihan-2 Satellite" respectively.

These three satellites are typical applications for realizing automated testing and assembly line assembly. They have the characteristics of short development cycle, high integration, light weight, small size and high cost performance. The data products produced by the GNSS occultation detection payload and infrared detection payload can be used in numerical weather, magnetic storm monitoring, earthquake prediction, marine environment forecast and other fields.
This launch is the third launch of the Yunyao-1 meteorological constellation in 2024. In 2024, Yunyao Aerospace plans to complete the launch of 41 satellites and build a global meteorological space monitoring constellation consisting of 90 satellites by 2025, forming a global high-resolution, high-precision, full-scale atmospheric detection system, breaking the foreign meteorological monopoly, and providing "Belt and Road" countries with high-efficiency weather forecasts and short-term earthquake warning services, thereby enhancing my country's international influence.
The number is Y12 and payloads as below:
Jiguang 01 极光星座01
Jiguang 02 极光星座02
Zhangjiang Gaoke (Yunyao-1 25) 张江高科号 (云遥一号25)
Yunyao-1 26 (Nishuihan-2) 云遥一号26 (逆水寒二号)
Hebei Linxi-1 (Yunyao-1 14) 河北临西一号(云遥一号14)

I disagree here. Better to use a standard format (jpg) than ask for everyone else's software to accept a nonstandard format ( even if a couple of popular browsers can handle that format).

Fudan Information Satellite, launched!

At 7:39 am on May 31, the Ceres-1 Yao-12 launch vehicle was successfully launched, sending the "Aurora Constellation 01 and 02" laser communication test remote sensing satellites into the predetermined orbit, and the flight test was successful.

The two satellites will establish a stable laser communication link, verify broadband inter-satellite laser communication at different satellite distances from 300 kilometers to 4,000 kilometers, and test the high-speed and stable transmission of inter-satellite business data.

Among them, "Aurora Constellation 01" is also known as "Fudan Information Satellite", which is the title star of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Fudan University (hereinafter referred to as the School of Information). It was named by Jin Yaqiu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an expert in electromagnetic waves and remote sensing science, and a professor of the School of Information.

The payload and platform of Fudan Information Satellite were jointly developed by the Fudan University Shanghai Science and Technology Commission Low-orbit Satellite Communication and Application Engineering Technology Research Center, the Shanghai Education Commission Low-orbit Satellite Communication Technology Collaborative Innovation Center, and Beijing Aurora Star Communication Technology Co., Ltd. and AIS Company under the 805 Institute of the Eighth Academy of Aerospace.

As the "01st satellite" in the "Aurora Constellation" 12-satellite launch plan, Fudan Information Satellite will focus on exploring intersatellite laser communication and satellite optical remote sensing during its in-orbit period, combining satellite ground station reception with artificial intelligence (AI) big data fusion processing.

Zhang Junwen, deputy director of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Wave Information Science at Fudan University, introduced: "During its in-orbit period, Fudan will work with the Aurora Star Communication team to conduct intersatellite laser communication link testing and verification, build an in-orbit laser communication experimental platform, and conduct advanced signal processing research for in-orbit laser communication."

The experimental data collected by Fudan Information Satellite in space will be transmitted back to the ground through the satellite remote sensing data receiving station on the roof of the second floor of the intersection of Fudan University's Jiangwan Campus. This 5.4-meter-diameter parabolic antenna can effectively receive, focus, and transmit the data signals transmitted by the satellite to the college computer room for each experimental team to perform back-end information processing, forming a "satellite ground station-intersatellite-satellite-ground-sky-earth-space integration" data closed loop.

The team used their research expertise to conduct collaborative verification and system testing using effective analytical methods. They also used big data fusion and AI to perform image information fusion and information processing, optimize image processing algorithms, and improve the accuracy and precision of data recognition. Currently, the School of Information is preparing for the next technical test satellite.

The 1st anniversary report card of the "Aurora Constellation" 01/02 satellite can be described as fruitful. Every key progress in the operation in orbit clearly outlines the trajectory of rapid iteration and capability leap of my country's space laser communication technology.

The first stage is technical verification. Less than a month after being successfully launched into the planned orbit by the Ceres-1 Yao-12 launch vehicle on May 31, 2024, the Aurora Constellation 01/02 satellites successfully established the first stable intersatellite two-way laser communication link at a satellite distance of 340 kilometers, and then on June 26, at a satellite distance of 400 kilometers, they efficiently completed the comprehensive verification of the closed-loop return link from launch to laser communication.

The second stage is stable operation. On July 30, 2024, when the satellites were in orbit for 60 days, the Aurora Constellation 01/02 satellites were able to stably cover all measurement and control areas for link communication at a satellite distance of 500 kilometers. On August 26, the satellites achieved long-term stable operation for more than 95 minutes for the first time in a single link establishment; on September 4, the record was extended to more than 180 minutes, during which the satellites flew around the earth twice without interruption, and the laser link was as stable as a rock. On September 20, it achieved 30 hours of all-weather continuous laser communication at a satellite distance of 400 kilometers, and strictly verified the system's long-term working ability.

The third stage is to challenge the limit. On October 28, 2024, at a satellite distance of 1,050 kilometers, the "Aurora Constellation" 01/02 satellite successfully completed 24 hours of uninterrupted communication, and the cumulative stable communication time has exceeded 200 hours. From October 20 to November 10, the two satellites completed more than ten laser link capture and stable communication tests intensively, focusing on the guarantee ability to autonomously complete the broken link reconnection in less than 5 seconds under the sudden maneuvering conditions of the satellite platform. On January 3, 2025, at a satellite distance of 2,800 kilometers, the two satellites established a stable link for 96 minutes, successfully realizing precise control and communication closed loop at long distances. On February 11, the inter-satellite distance of laser stable communication was successfully extended to 4,000 kilometers.

The fourth stage: system formation. On April 10, 2025, the Aurora Constellation 01/02 satellite had been in orbit for 314 days, with a stable link time exceeding 200 hours, and successfully challenged the long-distance stable communication of 4,650 kilometers. On May 11, 2025, under the extreme conditions of an orbital altitude of 530 kilometers and a satellite spacing of up to 5,100 kilometers, it once again achieved continuous stable on-orbit link establishment, with a communication time of 1 hour, 48 minutes and 36 seconds. The laser beam successfully passed through the stratosphere, only 41 kilometers from the lowest point on the surface, fully verifying the reliability of link establishment and maintenance in ultra-long distances and complex near-Earth space environments.

On the commemorative day of May 31, 2025, the Aurora Constellation 01/02 satellite has been in orbit for a full year, completing 5,520 orbits, and the laser communication terminal has accumulated more than 210 hours of stable link establishment time, with more than 140 cumulative link establishment times. It has successfully achieved in-orbit link establishment tests at different distances from 260 kilometers to 5,100 kilometers, which strongly confirms the initial formation of my country's space laser communication capability system.
