The beautiful style & aesthetics of Space:1999

and the scene-stealer from that show, the Eagle Transporter, on a cargo run

Interesting to see how it pitches up into that nose-up/tail-down position for ascent -- seems common sense, but I don't recall ever having seen it presented to us on the show itself

Would it do a terrestrial descent thru skydiver/bellyflop the whole way, or would it perhaps briefly flip into tail-down orientation for final braking near the end, just before final landing on its belly/legs?

Actually regarding terrestrial descent and landing, this is what Ted Rivers goes with, at least for cargo version

And here is the Ted Rivers breakdown of his version of the Eagle Transporter

The passenger compartments have always seemed a bit boxy compared to real-world cylindrical pressure vessels.

And how is that top-side superstructure supposed to transmit the main engine thrust across to the forward section?
Or even hold the aft and fore sections together properly, especially when the belly-thrusters are being used?
