How soon to de-Sokoling?

Online Chris Bergin

Wow...even by NSF's already high standards, the coverage of this flight has been spectacular from where I sit.  Thanks much to Chris and all those who helped out.  Great coverage, great flight!

Indeed! You guys rocked on this one.

Thanks, but I was only taking screenshots and repeating some of what Josh was saying. ;D

Helps a huge amount when there's a really good PAO commentating.

Congratulations on an impressive flight...

So the table for fast dockings  (Earth to Earth orbit target) is

Soyuz 7K-OK No. 7  0:46   (Kosmos-213)
Soyuz 7K-OK No. 5  1:17   (Kosmos-188)
Gemini 11             1:34:16
Gemini 12             3:46
Progress M-16M    5:43:30
Soyuz TMA-08M   5:44 ish?
Progress M-17M    5:52:22
Progress M-18M     5:52:31
Gemini 10              5:52:36
Gemini   8              6:33:16
Skylab SL-4          8:01
Skylab SL-3          8:21
Skylab SL-2          8:50  (soft dock)

I don't care that K-213 was the passive craft in the K-213/212 docking, under an hour is impressive any way you cut it.  Readers may be interested in Sven Grahn's discussion at

I'm not counting even more rapid 'dockings' such as that carried out by the F-15 ASAT with the P78-1 satellite :-). Also not counting Apollo transposition and
docking with no rendezvous required.

What have I missed?
