New commercial satellite imagery of the Sohae Satellite Launching Station (“Tongchang-dong”) from February 3 and 4 shows the arrival of tanker trucks at the launch pad, specifically at the old fuel/oxidizer bunkers. Contrary to recent reports, the presence of these tankers more likely indicates the filling of fuel/oxidizer tanks within the bunkers than the fueling of the space launch vehicle (SLV). In the past, such activity has occurred 1-2 weeks prior to a launch event

I wonder if the South Koreans will be the only ones waiting to recover that first stage this time.

AP is reporting NK launched its rocket, didn't say anything else yet.
I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.

AP and Fox News are reporting the launch has happened. Nothing else yet.

Edit: CBS and CNN are saying the same thing.

Edit 2: CNN saying a US defense official confirms launch, says "no threat to US or allies".

The missile/rocket has launched on 09:00 Pyongyang time (00:30 UTC).

Current news update (09:59 Seoul time, 00:59 UTC) from Yonhap News (South Korean news agency) reports that 1st and 2nd stage separation were both apparently successful, as is the fairing.

The missile/rocket has been detected to be flying over near Okinawa and three pieces of debris were found to fall into the ocean, according to Japanese government.

Yonhap News says that the debris fell into the Yellow Sea, to the southwest of Jeju Island.
