March 20, 2009. Baikonur launch site, branch office of S.P.Korolev RSC Energia

At Baikonur launch site the preparations continue for the launch of Soyuz TMA-14 transport manned vehicle under the International Space Station program.
In the assembly/test building primary (Gennady Padalka (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Russia), Michael Barratt (NASA, USA), Charles Simonyi (USA)) and backup (Maksim Suraev (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Russia), Jeffry Williams (NASA, USA) and Esther Dyson (USA)) crews of the Soyuz TMA-14 transportation spacecraft made a check inspection of the spacecraft in the launch configuration and got acquainted with equipment to be delivered and returned to the ground.

21-03-2009 cosmonauts and astronauts planted the trees

Today in the second-half of day on the area of 17 spaceports Baikonur cosmonauts and astronauts of basic ([G].[Padalk], Michael [Barratt], Charles [Simonii]) and duplicating (Maxim [Suraev], by Jeffery Williams, ester Dyson) of crews of the transport manned ship “union [TMA]-14” planted the seedlings of trees. Thus, was observed the old tradition of spaceport.

Orbital module of the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle, containing the Soyuz TMA-14 manned spacecraft was transported from the spacecraft processing facility for the general integration with LV.

11A511U-FG launch vehicle with Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft was transported to the PU-5 launch pad at LC1 'Gagarinskiy Start' launch complex.

A session of the State Commission was held. The acting Head of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Yu.P.Gidzenko made a report on the crew readiness for the mission. The President and General Designer of the S.P.Korolev RSC Energia V.A.Lopota made a report on the readiness of the integrated launch vehicle/manned spacecraft system Soyuz-FG/Soyuz-TMA for further pre-launch processing. The State Commission confirmed the primary and backup crews of Soyuz TMA-14 and ISS-19, and also made a decision to proceed with the preparation of the integrated launch vehicle/spacecraft system Soyuz-FG/Soyuz TMA-14 for fueling and launch at the scheduled time - on March 26, 2009, at 2:49 p.m. Moscow Time.

The Prime Crew: ISS-19 Commander, Soyuz TMA Commander - instructor-cosmonaut-tester of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Russian Air Force Colonel Gennady Ivanovich Padalka; ISS Flight Engineer, Soyuz TMA Flight Engineer - NASA astronaut, US Air Force Colonel Michael Barratt; space flight participant of the ISS visiting mission, USA citizen Charles Simonyi

26-03-2009 starting day: The crews OF [TPK] “soyuz [TMA]-14” left from the hotel “cosmonaut” to the spaceport

Today into 8.45 Moscow time took place the departure of basic ([G].[Padalka], [M].[Barratt], [Ch].[Simoni]) and duplicating ([M].[Suraev], [Dzh].[Uillyams], [E].[Dayson]) of crews of the transport manned ship “union [TMA]-14” from area 17 (hotel “[Kosmnavt]”) spaceport Baikonur. At the given moment the column of buses with the crews is directed to the area of 254 spaceports, where takes place the procedure of donning of the space suit, and also the report of basic crew to the chairman of state commission.

Further basic crew will proceed to the launching system of area 1 (“Gagarin start”) for the landing in [TPK] “union [TMA]-14”.
   The launch of space rocket “Soyuz-[FG]” with [TPK] “union [TMA]-14” is planned on 14.49 msk on March 26 of this year.
