Starting this thread off with Michael Baylor's announcement four weeks ago (discussed here):

Since NextSF is now officially an NSF property, I think it's appropriate to have a forum thread here where we can post questions about it.  Not all of us do Twitter :)  I'll post my specific question in a new comment below.

PSA #1: EST does NOT mean "Eastern Time".  Use "Eastern" or "ET" instead, all year round, and avoid this common error.  Google "EST vs EDT".
PSA #2: It's and its: know the difference and quietly impress grammar pedants.  Google "angry flower its" .

First an observation and then my question.  Last week I was at KSC showing my 12yo nephew around the place, which included two bus rides (the one big tour, and the ride back to the VC complex).  On BOTH bus rides, the commentator specifically recommended the NextSpaceflight app to the entire audience for launch schedule information!  I'm so glad to see this high-quality data resource getting the exposure it deserves.

My specific question is about the calendar integration.  At the very bottom of the NextSF home page is a tiny "calendar" link to this page:

https://nextspaceflight.com/calendar/

... and that then provides this ICS calendar feed link:

https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/nextspaceflight.com_l328q9n2alm03mdukb05504c44%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

... that you can import into your calendar of choice.  AWESOME!  I've been using (and Patreon-supporting) NextSF for a while but didn't know about this until recently.

Can an NSF-er here comment on whether that calendar feed will continue to be supported?  I guess as long as you don't change the platform that Michael built, it'll just keep working.

I do see that launch event data has continued to be updated in June, so thanks for taking on this additional work!

Howdy! First of all thanks for sharing that regarding the bus tour folks recommending the app, that's great to hear.

Now to your question, you can expect that to continue to be supported. We are in the very early stages of discussing possible updates to the platform as a whole, but I will make sure that this feature is built into that when they do come, but I don't expect that to be very soon.

I'm happy to watch this thread and will try to respond to any feedback that comes in.

data error report:

In the Events section, the website / app lists the Japanese SLIM spacecraft's target as the "Marius Hills Hole" (a lava tube skylight), but the target is actually the Shioli Crater, which is nowhere near Marius.  Phil Stooke confirmed this for me today in the SLIM thread, and if anyone would know, it's Phil.

The calendar for Nextspaceflight feed to Microsoft Calendar doesn't seem to be updating for the last few days.
Super Heavy/Starship is still showing for yesterday (Monday) and the next couple of Falcon 9 launches are missing.

Thanks for agreeing to take this on Chris.
