More SpaceX eye candy has appeared at the Massey test site for the flame trench. Four large grey bases were seen in the last @RGVaerialphotos flyover with 6 cutouts allowing for the 6 C-shaped beams (onsite for months) to be welded into place likely to form the plume diverter.

Just FYI for L2 members this was also spotted on the ground at McGregor recently.

Not quite sure what to say about this...
Ignoring how it looks...let's think about WHAT it is! Water tank? Has to be, right? For the new flame trench? Can't think what else this size might be needed at Masseys...

Interesting parts are taking shape at #SpaceX's Masseys test site. As more work is completed on the new flame diverter, seemingly random parts start developing into recognizable assemblies. In this short thread, I'll present some ideas surrounding these new parts. As always, this is speculative and subject to change. /1

As always, I do my best to model in detail with accurate measurements from recreated camera shots. Here are my models with one of the images I used from @RGVaerialphotos's recent flyover. Consider becoming a flight supporter as things get more interesting at the Masseys site. /2

First up is the assumed "flame bucket" part of the diverter system. This will be built using 4 pedestals with 6 slots allowing the 6 "C" shaped beams to be attached to form the frame for a curved surface with walls. /3

The pedestals appear to be hollow and have anchoring pegs inside and out suggesting that they will be embedded in concrete and filled with concrete once assembled. /4

This truss platform has been around for weeks now. I initially thought it could be for a roof section but its width suggests that it will be narrower than the flame trench. Based on my understanding it only fits one place. More details on that next./5

This is highly speculative, but given the recent foundation for what appears to be the business end of the flame trench, it appears that these assemblies could be related and form the primary diverter frame. Once installed they could look similar to this. 6/

I will continue to update these models as things develop. There are still many unanswered questions and I would not be surprised if, by the next flyover, things look entirely different. Check back for updates in the near future. /7

It might be new as one of the typical purchase options is where you order the base product and have it shipped where a contractor finishes it out at the job site. This is a common method of purchase for special purpose railway tank cars such as those used to transport refrigerants, cryogenics, hypergols, and commodities such as Phosphorus.

I decided to make a simple concept for what a water-cooled flame diverter could look like for the Massey's Test Site #Starship Static Fire stand. We haven't gotten any new photos yet to suggest this design so this is entirely speculation. This is heavily inspired by the flame deflector #SpaceX has at their McGregor engine test facility for the #Raptor Tripod test stand. The walls will likely be taller but this is the height that is currently suggested.

During a limited flyover of Massey's yesterday, we saw this painted pipe section intended for the Ship Static Fire stand!

These will be used to spray water from the flame bucket during static fires.

The piping on the flame diverter appears to be removing rust, and several other rusty structures in that area.  Are we sure these didn't just come over from KSC Pad 39A where Elon had constructed a similar flame trench and is being reassembled into a new structure at Massey?

T-1 hour until Starbase Weekly livestream!

Here's a rather strange stand at Massey's, hear what we have to say about it at 12pm CDT!

Is it possible that this location has a fixed tower or crane to lift the Starship/Booster into place?
