Any news of EROS C?
« on: 04/14/2014 05:06 am »
With the launch of Ofeq 10, I am once more having a loot at the Ofeq and related EROS programmes.

We are now long after the projected launch date of EROS C, possibly because both EROS-A 1 and EROS B are still operating.   Is there any information available concerning a possible schedule for the EROS C launch and what launch vehicle is likely to be used?   The previous launches used the Start-1 out of Svobodny, and of course that option is no longer available.

Many thanks.

To answer this question, the EROS C satellite was scheduled for launch in 2019 but was cancelled in favor of the EROS NG constellation, which will comprise six satellites and relies on the same satellite bus as the unbuilt EROS C. The EROS C3 was the first satellite of the EROS-NG constellation to reach orbit, in December 2022.

EROS C is in space (launched on December 29 2022) and working as planned. It's name is EROS C-3
