Interesting slant from the Air Force Magazine coverage; thanks for linking that!USNORTHCOM and thus NORAD are at Peterson. Too many eggs in one basket?
After the IRBM interservice wars of the 1950s, with the Redstone-based Army missile team fighting for Jupiter against the US Air Force, leading to the Wilson Memorandum, the Dagger Report, the Nickerson Incident and infamous court martial, etc., Redstone, of all places, ends up with Space Force. How history turns! Assuming, of course, that the incoming Biden Administration doesn't erase these plans in favor of a Blue state alternative, etc.. - Ed Kyle
