Long March 2D successfully launched the 4D Gaojing-3 satellite

At 12:11 on March 15, 2025, the Long March 2D carrier rocket successfully sent the Siwei Gaojing 3-02 satellite and Tianyan 23 satellite into the predetermined orbit at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and the launch mission was a complete success. Both the satellite and the rocket were developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The Long March 2D carrier rocket test team firmly established the concept of the entire life cycle, with a sense of responsibility of "always worrying about everything", continuously refined measures, carefully organized re-inspections, and guarded every checkpoint of quality management to ensure the success of the launch mission. This rocket uses the range jettison technology for the first time. Compared with the previously used timed jettison technology, the longitudinal range of the fairing landing area can be reduced by about 20 kilometers, and the defense line can be strengthened with technological innovation to ensure the safety of the landing area. This launch is the 96th launch of the Long March 2D carrier rocket, the 230th launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets developed by the Eighth Academy, and the 564th launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
The number is Y100.

Ultra-clear wide angle, 130 km image in one shot | Siwei Gaojing-3 02 successfully sent back the first batch of satellite image data

At 12:11 on March 15, 2025, Beijing time, Cguba successfully launched the 2nd satellite of "Siwei Gaojing III" into the predetermined orbit using the Long March 2D launcher at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The satellite was in good condition after entering orbit, and various subsystems started working normally one after another.

At 2:00 on March 16, 2025, the Kashgar Satellite Ground Receiving Station successfully received the first batch of satellite image data sent back by the 2nd satellite of "Siwei Gaojing III". With an ultra-wide range of 130 kilometers and a resolution of 0.5 meters, the image is clear, with distinct layers, rich details, full colors, uniform image quality, and good radiation consistency. The ground-to-space link and ground system are operating stably, and the satellite has entered the on-orbit test phase.

The Tianyan-23 satellite is mainly used to acquire panchromatic images, multispectral images as well as video data of target areas, providing reference maps for dynamic monitoring of territorial resources.
