中星9C卫星将于2025年一季度发射
Quote
ChinaSat 9C satellite to be launched in the first quarter of 2025

ChinaSat-9 is the satellite with the most users in the country. It has a strong signal and is easy to receive. You can easily receive the signal with a satellite dish larger than 25CM. It is mainly free to receive. However, as the life of ChinaSat-9 is about to end after more than ten years, many users are worried that after the life of ChinaSat-9 ends, the set-top box they are using will not be able to watch programs?

Don't worry about this. After the life of the satellite is over, there will be a new satellite to replace it. It will be seamlessly connected in the same orbit without signal interruption, so you won't feel that a new satellite has been replaced. But after the new satellite is replaced, do you need to replace the original set-top box with a new one? No need to replace it, just continue to use it.

According to China Satellite Communications Co., Ltd. (China Satellite Communications), according to the recent live broadcast satellite high-quality development forum, China Satellite Communications representatives introduced in their speeches that ChinaSat-9C satellite will be launched in the first quarter of 2025,

to replace ChinaSat-9 satellite, the orbital position is 92.2°E, which is the current orbit of ChinaSat-9 satellite. ChinaSat 9 was launched on June 9, 2008. It has been in operation for 16 years, and its design life is 15 years, which has exceeded the mission. Therefore, the launch plan of ChinaSat 9C satellite just meets the needs of replacing ChinaSat 9.

ChinaSat 9C satellite will smoothly replace ChinaSat 9 satellite, and will add standard KU, planning and KA BS frequency resources. At the same time, ChinaSat 9C satellite has also designed KA beam, which is mainly tested in Beijing and surrounding areas.

It will expand the available bandwidth of satellite broadcasting services, effectively improve the carrying capacity of satellite services, and enrich the types of satellite live broadcast services and smart radio and television applications.

ChinaSat 9C satellite has the ability to move within the visible range of the satellite, and can realize the interactive needs of satellite broadcasting communications in the coverage area, that is, it can start communication services for a certain area as needed.

The coverage performance and area of ChinaSat 9C satellite should not be lower than that of ChinaSat 9 satellite. On the basis of maintaining the existing ChinaSat 9 satellite national beam, attention should be paid to strengthening the coverage of sea and western regions. ChinaSat 9C satellite is designed with multiple beams such as national, western and sea areas to improve business carrying capacity, meet the development needs of high-definition and ultra-high-definition radio and television programs, and meet the needs of the majority of household TV users to watch high-definition TV programs for free with a small dish.

In short, ChinaSat 9C satellite, which is used to replace ChinaSat 9, has made layout plans in advance from the whole chain of satellite, frequency, station, network and terminal. In addition to meeting the broadcasting and television needs of live broadcast satellite users, it will also start the research on new technology applications. The launch of ChinaSat 9C satellite will be another important milestone in the development of satellite live broadcast in our country. The adoption of ChinaSat 9C satellite will improve the performance and quality of satellite communications to meet the future business needs of high-speed Internet, high-definition television, directional coverage, two-way integration, etc.
The Zhongxing-9C (中星9C) is plan to be launched in Q1 2025.

Not sure how reliable this source is. Under June 14th launch of ZX-9C is announced.

BTW - there is a second thread open concerning ZX-9C  (https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=61982.0).

The ChinaSat 9C satellite was developed by the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is a live broadcast satellite dedicated to radio and television. It uses the Dongfanghong-4 enhanced satellite platform independently developed by my country. The satellite is designed with Ku BSS and other frequency band payloads. The satellite has a takeoff weight of 5.5 tons, a design life of 15 years, a total satellite power of 14.4 kilowatts, and a payload power consumption of 11 kilowatts, setting a record for the Dongfanghong-4 series of satellite platforms.

The Long March 3B carrier rocket was developed by the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. At present, the Long March 3A series of rockets maintain a high-density launch. This mission is the 10th launch of this series of rockets in 2025, and multiple launch missions will be carried out in the future. This rocket has carried out a number of technical improvements on the control system, measurement system, and power system to improve reliability, productization, quality, and efficiency, so as to better escort the launch mission.

After completing the in-orbit test, the ChinaSat 9C satellite will be handed over to China Satellite Communications, a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, for operation and management. On the basis of smoothly replacing the broadcasting and television live broadcasting business of the ChinaSat 9 satellite, the ChinaSat 9C satellite will improve its regional coverage capability and provide autonomous, controllable, safe, and stable broadcasting and television live broadcasting services. After the satellite is put into use, my country's in-orbit broadcasting and television dedicated transmission and live broadcast satellites will be fully localized.

The 211 Plant of the First Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology has started the "acceleration" of assembly and testing of the Long March 3A-series rocket

As the middle of the year approaches, all employees of the 211 Plant of the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation are working at full capacity to start the "acceleration" of assembly and testing.

In 2025, the assembly, testing and launch missions of the Long March 3A-series of launch vehicles will double, and multiple rockets will be shipped continuously at the same time. In order to ensure the completion of the assembly and testing tasks, the General Assembly Division of the 211 Plant will give full play to the role of the "chain leader" of the assembly, hold assembly mobilization meetings every week to improve the efficiency of information exchange; refine the production schedule, and make the plan accurate to the hour to ensure that the day's work is completed on the same day; for the long-term three-stage assembly, implement two shifts for operators; comprehensively coordinate personnel, set up a general assembly and test reserve team, let the second line support the first line, and maximize the work efficiency of personnel.

It seems the particularly high launch cadence of the CZ-3B/C in H1 2025 will be increased further, and there may possibly be 16+ launches of CZ-3B/C this year (double of last year).
It can be reminded that last December, CALT announced up to 5 years of high cadence CZ-3B/C launches and that China has launched by far more GTO launches this year than any other country. This probably hints at many dozens, if not over a hundred GSO/MEO Chinese payloads to be launched this second half of the 2020s (we do know about some of them, like the next generation of Beidu satellites).
