Unfortunately, the Astra launch from Kodiak, a few minutes ago, failed.
This launch is the second orbital launch scheduled today (UTC).

Looks like a launch success

Liftoff - 13:02 local time

Online Galactic Penguin SST

It took quite some more time than usual, but launch success has finally been confirmed with T-0 at 05:02 UTC.

And yes it's Jilin-1 HR-02C, this time with the sponsored name of "Inner Mongolia 1" as CASIC marked their cooperation with their regional government.

Hmm, then lack of news has persisted for some time and now there are reports that the launch did fail... :-\

If this is a failure then that brings us to 8 complete launch failures: numbers like that haven't been seen since the early 80s, this really is a bloodbath of a year. I put '5-8 complete failures' in my 2020 prediction post and thought that was pessimistic, now it's hanging by a thread.

But we had the launch of three brand new rockets - LauncherOne, KZ-11 and Astra.

Plus, problems with some rockets like Electron are just starting to show up.

Quite normal.
