Satori, is it a proven fact that YG-7 is/was scheduled to be launched from Jiuquan?
The only Yaogan satellites launched from JSLC so far were built by DFH Satellite in Beijing. Yet we've got a message that the next SAST built Yaogan earlier planned for this autumn will not be launched until spring 2010...
This message reflects my personal opinion based on open sources of information.

Hi Liss!

Well, not a proven fact and as you said before the information is based on "rumors and wild guesses" from the 9ifly.cn Chinese Space Forum. The same people there was also expecting a launch this Sunday.

Based on the knowledge about the previous YaoGan Weixing launches, its obvious that the launch didn't take place today. But taking into account the strong rumours on the forum I think we should expect a launch in the next days... If that launch will be a YaoGan Weixing vehicle is another question.

From the usual source, there are now rumors for a launch (Yaogan-7?) by the end of this month, possibly from Taiyuan.

Yes, I had already noticed those rumors. No idea about the cargo / mission. I haven't heard anything about the HJ-1C mission for some time now, maybe that one?

It's 6 a.m. in Beijing now; if they are going to launch in October, they should make an announcement soon.

Liss, I supose that you are waiting for the announcement on sina.com or in chinanews.com. Does those announcements have arrived two days in advance for the latest launches?

The following satellites will possibly be launched as piggyback payloads

??
- ?? - ?? - Tian Xun Zhe-1 (Tian Xun-1)

A official commemorative card, which was issued by the Xian Satellite Launch Center, seams to reveal, that TianXun-1 was launched as part of the Nov 5th 2008 mission from JSLC. The inscription within the launch patch is "TianXun-1 Satellite Controll Commemoration" and the card was issued (date of postmark) on Nov 5th 2008. No indication if TianXun-1 was a separate payload or another designation for Shiyan-3 or CX-1(02).

Some time ago someone sent me this photo as being the TianXun satellite. Does this help?

Yes it helps. Your photo shows the TianXún-1 satellite which is developed by Nanjing University and planned indeed for a 2010 piggyback launch. The Chinese translation is "天巡一号" which means "Day Patrol-1". The chinese inscription at the Xian cover is "天讯一号" means "Rapid Day-1" and in Chinese TianXùn-1 (another pronunciation!).

Edit on Nov 4 Yaogan-7 launch now expected during the last third of November.

I supose that this rumor comes from the usual chinese source. But do they specifically say that it will be the YaoGan-7 launch?

From the usual source and also others, the launch of Tianhui-1 (aka Ziyuan-3, mass 2630 kg) on CZ-4B from Taiyuan is now expected for 2011.

Xiwang-1 has a mass of 35 kg and is intended for an SSO orbit at 499km, it should be launched as co-passenger of a main SSO mission (could it be Yaogan-7 ?)

Thanks for that. I was in doubt about the launch date of TH-1 but I had already read that this mission was merged with ZY-3.

Some months ago there were some rumors that the launch of XW-1 was scheduled to take place with HJ-1C (last informations said that HJ-1C will be launched  next year).

The next launch (within a week?) will be a military mission. Fuelling as already began.

The recent CAST information refers to an article on Xiwang-1 dated September 10. It could well be that the mentionned launch date of end 2009 was derived from the then expected Huanjing-1C launch date.
I tend to think that it is now delayed to 2010 together with HJ-1C.
